Marble Slab Creamery — Restaurant in Lake Jackson

I’m giving it a 3 just because I usually have no issues here. They are always super nice and friendly. But today I went at roughly 6:40 pm, it says they close at 8. The lights were on and the gate wasn’t down so I waited and waited for about 10-15 minutes. I rang the bell as well. And nothing. I walked down to a store and I called and it rang and rang and nothing. Couldn’t even leave a voicemail because the inbox is full. I walked back around 7 or so and waited a few more minutes and nothing. Now I know someone was there because they left their Panera Bread take out containers on the counter as well as the cleaning supplies on the counters. I left a note asking what time they closed and let them know I had waited. If they had to leave or go somewhere they could have left a note or closed up. This is just one experience though. So I will continue to come here as I love the ice cream and I usually have good experiences here. Just disappointed tonight. I drove 20 minutes to get there and was really looking forward to...

Server was NOT wearing gloves, but WAS wearing remnants of someone else's blue ice cream on their hands. Proceeded to watch the server drag their knuckles through every ice cream flavour that I ordered. When they accidentally dropped my scoop into a different flavor, the server picked it up from the tub with their bare hand (like... not with the spoon?) and glanced up at me as they hovered the manhandled scoop over my cup... And only then decided to drop it on the counter next to my cup. Extra star because ice cream is ice cream, and it tasted fine. But the servers desperately need to be trained in safe...

My Husband and I stopped by because we were picking up a package from Amazon locker. Service was nice but the ice cream was ok until i started to see actual ice in my ice cream. Didn't think nothing about it until I spit out a piece of tissue that was wrapped in the second piece of ice in the ice cream we brought. Pistachio and cinnamon bun was the flavors we got. Wish I can get money back for the garbage they are selling. Honestly we really wanted to go to the chill spot but soon as we walked that way the young boy sat down in the food court area.
