Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Lake Jackson

Popeyes chicken is very delicious despite being pricy, except that at this location we waited a long time to get the food since we were carry out customers and the dine in customers get served first. They didn't give us any plates and silverware. How are we supposed to eat at the beach, red beans and rice without it? Not good, the woman seems to have "forgotten" on purpose, I guess she thought we were rushing her.

I need to unfortunately lower my rating for this restaurant. I went there last Sunday on my way to the beach as I like to do. I immediately felt a strange smell inside like grease. I love Popeyes so much that I didn’t worry too much about it until later that night I started to throw up and have diarrhea. I thought I was going to pass out. I had to be at work because I have a new job. I felt very sick and didn’t eat anything all day long. I should have followed my gut feeling and not eaten there. I now see that the strong odor could only be due to reutilizing grease which caused me to have food poisoning. Not good at all! I’ll never go there again and if you do, ask to see the grease in the kitchen, if it’s dark please don’t...

Most of the time I go in to this place there is a problem. The worst by far was the way they treated the young man behind the register. The cook and the manager told him, in Spanish, that they did not have spicy tenders. It was late but not so close to closing that they should stop cooking anything and everything and just sell whatever they had on the rack. I know how it works. Anyway, in spite of that, the young cashier was told he had to cook it since he took the order. While he was cooking, no one helped with any part of the order and laughed at him the entire time, making comments too. In spite of being on the verge of tears, he handled himself well. I thanked him for what he was willing to go through to get my order to me. I also told him he should report his coworkers and quit his job while...

Food is great, but the service and the overall cleanness of the is absolutely horrible. Where do I start first, the store had no air conditioning. I work all day outside, I don't want to enjoy my dinner in it as well. The tables that are available were dirty. I had to clean my own table for me and my son to sit and eat, and cleaned it for the next people that will be liking for a clean table. Trash can full, couldn't put my trash into it. I asked the employee why it was so hot, their response was that management didn't want to fix the air conditioning. I won't be coming back to thi location again.
