Cheryl in the shoe department, I see this is your second review about being rude…perhaps you should pay attention, there appears to be a pattern. The old expression “don’t judge a book by its cover” is the moral of the story here. I don’t look like I could afford anything in Dillards because I’m a pretty casual person and dress for comfort, especially in the Texas heat. But the fact is, I spend anywhere from $500-1000 in the Dillards shoe department every year due to a leg injury that requires me to wear shoes with an arch. I went in today to buy Vionic replacement insoles. I knew exactly what I was getting, so I got them and went to the counter to pay. Everyone working in the shoe department was with a customer, which was fine; I’m absolutely fine to wait my turn. What I’m not fine with is the blatant rudeness that Cheryl showed when she carried the shoes of an extremely well dressed woman up to the counter. It was as if I had the plague and I shouldn’t be in her presence. I continued to wait patiently for her to finish ringing up the lady who had been placed in front of me. I didn’t say anything, until Cheryl rudely asked me to move so she could let the CUSTOMER use the PIN pad. I told her that I was a customer too and had already been standing there waiting to pay. When she realized I was making a purchase she was all kinds of friendly, probably because of the commission. That is fine, I let her ring my tiny purchase up and get that little commission because it was HOT in there and I wanted to get out asap. Side-note: Fix the AC please!! In the future though, Cheryl you will not be helping me when I come to buy shoes! I will wait for someone else or come back another time. Just because a person is casual or having a low maintenance day doesn’t mean they should be treated as if they’re not good enough to be in your presence. You never know who you’re working with and actions and attitudes like yours are definitely remembered and will ruin it for you in the future. “Don’t judge a book by its...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal customer of Dillard’s for years, especially during the holiday season when I buy my kids a full gift set of their favorite perfume or cologne. During my recent visit, my children were asking for samples to let me know what they wanted and had a few general questions about fragrances, but I was disappointed to see that most of the female employees didn’t want to assist them, possibly because they’re teenagers. It was clear they were being ignored, which is frustrating considering my kids are respectful, kind, and had their own money to spend.
Thankfully, there was one employee named Ethan who was more than happy to help them. He treated them with respect, provided samples, and answered all of their questions without hesitation. Ethan even walked one of my kids to the counter to ensure they had a smooth experience. He truly stood out in terms of customer service, and I will make sure that any and all of our future purchases are done through him to ensure he gets the commission he deserves.
It was disappointing to witness other employees, one in particular, question why Ethan was helping my kids and even showing visible frustration. This behavior is unacceptable. Most of these employees could benefit from additional customer service training. In the future, my kids and I will be spending our money with Ethan, and I hope Dillard’s takes note of the difference in his exceptional service compared to...
Read moreI was just there 10/15/2024 to purchase a few things. I witness this older woman with a hot pink blazer speak to a coworker like she was a dog. I left my things and spoke with the woman that was treated like that. Told her she didn't deserve that and to keep smiling. And to the woman who spoke to her that way, 1 never speak to another person that way especially a coworker. If your her manager over the jewelry dept, shame on you and 2 never speak to someone about their wrong doings in front of a customer. There were 2 standing there and the woman in hot pink and blonde hair was not quiet one bit. Her voice traveled. It's a shame you don't know what a true leader is. I've heard of a world leader before. A leader is someone who people want to follow and learn from. Have you ever hear of a world Boss? No. Again shame on you for how you...
