I'd give less then one star if I could... This is about the Staff... THEY ARE HORRID. AWFUL. RUDE. I've been in this store 4 times since it opened NOT ONCE have I had a good experience. First time: Just opened things were still in boxes I was looking at machines (because I'm a sewist with over 12 years of sewing under my belt and I'm not even 20) and I just got sneer after sneer... so I left Second time: Had to buy bobbins for a class... I knew what ones I needed because my teacher had shown me... person who worked there (I'm assuming because no one has a uniform or name-tag or anything). Asked what model I had and I said I couldn't remember so she said I couldn't buy them unless I knew the model. You're kidding me right... Third time: To get the same bobbins didn't talk to anyone got a few nasty looks Fourth time: TODAY THE LAST AND FINAL STRAW I WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE I WILL DRIVE TO MURRAY BEFORE I GO HERE! Was with my mother showing her the machine I wanted to get that I'd seen at the Murray store (whose staff is a million times better than the morons here). Couldn't Demo the machine... the 2500 machine... I couldn't show my mother what I loved about it... I'm not a child! I was then looking at the presser feet to look for an adapter... person who worked there (again I assumed) blocked my path and opened a carrying case and said 'oh look at this' as I was reaching for an adapter foot (there's no one else around but my mother and I so unless it was a ghost she was talking to us.) Talked to my mother about the adapter foot and what it did. Woman (who I think works there.. again I can't tell costumer from employee.) asked how we were doing and I was thinking "wonderful someone who is actually not a dick" we had a conversation with her and then... RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF IT... she started talking to I think a costumer... In the middle of the question I was asking her... she turned her attention to someone else to talk about some embroidery thing... I'm not going back. I'm never going back. I have to drive all the way to Murray... instead of 5 frigging miles from my house because the staff...
Read moreNuttall's staff is awesome. I had an issue with my sewing machine and took it in to be serviced. My bobbin winder had winded a lot of thread around the base (under the bobbin). They looked at the problem and took the time to remove a piece that allowed them to cut away all the thread and then make sure that the bobbin winder worked correctly. She asked if there were any other concerns and I told her that the tension went bad and I couldn't fix it after I accidentally forgot to adjust the needle location and it banged against the foot and broke. She removed the lower plate, cleaned and oiled the area, and the tension was then great. I learned a few things about maintaining the machine! When asked what I owed them, she said there was no charge! That saved me a servicing and I was able to go home and start sewing. I have always taken my machine to Nuttall's when it needed service and will continue to do so. They are great and I highly recommend them for service and fabric. They have a great selection of fabrics and also...
Read moreWhy would anyone purchase fabric that is sold at full price that are considered seconds, flat fold or end of the run by the manufacturer. Most fabric stores would sell the yardage at a discount!
The staff is very unfriendly and most of the time incredibly rude. When you are ready to check out, you have to wait forever because the clerks are too busy working on the own project or chatting with each other to even notice you need help.
Wouldn't ever buy a machine from this store. The sales staff continually lie about the products and have no clue about what they are selling. They are ignorant, self absorbed, and demeaning to you as the customer.
I will never send my machine there for repairs again. All I asked for was a cleaning and now all I can sew is a straight stitch. All other stitches are messed up and do not work. I would rather drive the the extra miles to Logan or Provo to get my Berninas cleaned and serviced correctly and I get a better deal which makes up...
