EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE!!! EMERGENCY WEDDING TUXEDO
I was in DFW for my sister's wedding from out of town and forgot my tuxedo (I know). I had tried, unsuccessfully, several other avenues on the morning of the wedding to find a replacement, etc. It was now early afternoon and I needed a tuxedo in time for pre-wedding pictures in ~1 hour.
A competitor in the area that could not help me suggested I call K&G. I called K&G to explain the situation on my way to their store. Once I arrived, Christa began helping me immediately solve the problem I had created.
Christa was kind, helpful, and knowledgeable and handled the situation with composure, a smile, and a few jokes regarding my dilemma (which I appreciated) - all with a sense of focused urgency without being frantic at all.
Due to her knowledge of the store and experience serving customers in the most exceptional way; Christa quickly showed me 4-5 tuxedo options and grabbed a white shirt (correct size) in a flash. Once we found a tuxedo match for the one I was supposed to wear; I followed Christa to the back of the store for alterations. The tailor marked where to hem my tuxedo pants and while he was sewing; Christa personally pressed my white shirt for me. 10 minutes later, I was wearing my new full tuxedo - a match to the one I should have brought all along.
Christa personally cut any hanging threads and lint rolled my jacket and pants. She then sent me on my way with a smile.
This whole process had taken -- no exaggeration -- 30 MINUTES. From the time I walked into the store with no tuxedo; to walking out fully dressed, shirt pressed, pants hemmed - was 30 MINUTES - all because of Christa.
Christa exemplified customer service at a time when I needed it most. She was solutions oriented and went over and above to solve my problem with attention to detail and a smile - THANK YOU CHRISTA!! She deserves a promotion and a raise; I cannot thank her enough, and will never forget this experience.

Read moreBUYER BEWARE. I purchased $75.00 Florsheim shoes and two suites from K&G Lewisville 72 days ago (Feb 28th 2019). Approximately three weeks ago I noticed that the heel had literally fallen off of the left shoe. I called the store to explain my situation and the person I spoke with assured me my shoes would be taken care of if I brought them in. My job is very time consuming coupled with the fact that my children have extracurricular activities on the weekends so it took a few weeks for me to bring the shoes in. When I finally had time to bring them in I was met with unbridled rudeness not only from the store manager but the employee behind the counter dealing with me directly. I was told, “we don’t repair shoes here.” I was also told by the manager that my shoes were in such horrible condition(they aren’t and I can provide evidence to the contrary) that the store would be unable to swap my shoes out. The only thing positive I will say about this store is the level of service I received from the tailor. I also brought in my new suite pants that had split and contrary to the rude person at the register it didn’t take him 3-4 days to repair the pants. He was able to fix them in about 5 minutes while I waited. Due to the egregious customer service I received, and the fact I was lied to regarding my defective shoes not being returned fixed or replaced less than 90 days after purchase, I will NEVER EVER shop at this store again. I will also go out of my way to let others know how terrible the products and customer service is at this store. I will also discourage anyone from buying here at all.

Read moreIf you're looking for decently priced suits for average-sized men, this is a good place to look. When we went in September to pick out the suits with my fiance's brother, multiple associates tried to help us, although we found it frustrating that the lady in charge of alterations kept trying to force our cowboy groomsman into a slim/skinny fit suit that wouldn't fit over his boots. Also, masks. (Not their fault, but not my fave.) Otherwise, they were great for what we needed.
HOWEVER...
I just got off the phone with an employee of K & G that was one of the rudest customer service associates I have ever dealt with in my life. I called to check on the status of a suit purchased for one of the groomsmen in our wedding two months ago: My fiance had taken his BIL to get a suit back in early October and they left it for alterations. It is now December and we never received a call notifying us that it was ready. When I called to check on it, the woman I spoke to informed me that "we just give a claim ticket, we don't call you" and made it clear that it was not their responsibility to make sure that we get the merchandise we payed for. Maybe we are supposed to magically know when it is ready, maybe the date is on the claim ticket; I don't know because I'm thousands of miles away in another state. Either way, I think a little bit of courtesy would have been more than acceptable and I would think that after a suit has been sitting there for TWO MONTHS, they would call to let the customer know that it's ready...
