As a bartender for 6 years I am very disappointed in the treatment that was given to my sister. I received a phone call from my sister who was sitting at the bar having a drink and eating an appetizer. She called me and told me the staff were making her uncomfortable and asked me if I could stay on the phone with her until her friend who she was meeting arrived. First, as I’m sitting on the phone with her it took 10-15minutes for one of the 3 bartenders to approach her and ask if she needed anything. Everyone continued to walk pass her. 2nd, she had seen the bartenders gathering and whispering to one another and pointing in her direction. My sister had felt immediately like she was being discriminated against as a young woman of color. Working in the in service industry I have seen first hand how some servers /bartenders perceive and treat young black guest because they feel they will not get tipped or run off on a tab and just from listening on the phone I could tell that is exactly how they were dealing with my sister. Lastly, my sister had told the bartender, that did approach her, she wanted to keep the check open and to keep her card on file however she wanted to close the tab with cash. When it came time that she was ready for her check the bartender gave her the check. She did not pay immediately because she was still eating her food and drink. Another bartender, who has not spoken or checked on her since she had been there, came to her and asked her to pay out right away because he wanted to close her tab. You do not rush your guest! my sister explained to the bartender that she is paying with cash and is still eating so no she’s not paying her tab at the moment. Eventually the girl bartender who was serving my sister came back and my sister handed her cash, with a tip of $10 on a $17 check, and decided to wait for her friend in the car until she arrived. When she walked out the bar the same guy bartender chased her down shouting she did not pay her tab. Instead of talking to the bartender who did take the time out to service my sister, he took it upon himself to embarrass my sister infront of everyone. Instead of apologizing, after it was confirmed that her tab was paid, the guy bartender continued to argue his case with my sister why he did what he did. It took the manager coming out for her to get an apology. From the moment they saw my sister walk into the bar they had already treated her as less than to the other guest. 0/10 would not recommend to people of color, specifically young black people . Been here several times and had multiple pleasant experiences here with great food good entertainment, but the last time that I’ve visited this place has made me never want to return. I visited and my spouse ordered a chill burger and I a salmon, our waitress was nice she recommended better deals, but when our food came out my spouse was able to eat his and the salmon on my plate was way too salty, I tried to eat through it and tone it down with the sides on the plate but it was still inedible. I’m not one to complain and send food back, but in this case it was an extreme situation. I notified our waitress that the salmon was way too salty, and instead of recommending that the kitchen staff prepare the salmon again and go light on the salt, she asked me if I wanted something completely different, I proceeded to tell her I wanted a hamburger. After waiting about 20 minutes, my spouse finished his food and I was still waiting for mine to be re-brought out. No rush order/priority due to mistakes made or anything. I talked to another staff member and tried to see if I could cancel the order of a hamburger that I didn’t want and just get the salmon to go since that was what I originally wanted. They told me the hamburger was almost done and expected me to pay for food I didn’t want but was forced to choose due to the lack of competent kitchen staff to prepare dishes. I talked to a manager and informed him of the problem, I told him that the salmon was way too salty and that I’m. It one to usually complain, he then informed me that that’s how they always cook to salmon, I responded with it wasn’t even edible and anyone with tastebuds will be disturbed biting into this dish with the intake of salt, and I will not be paying for something that I do not want, he was understanding, but as a manager you also should hold kitchen staff responsible when something inedible is brought to your attention. Again I'm not one to complain or send back food unless I literally can not eat it. When I say salty, Im not talking about McDonald’s fries salty, I’m talking about a spoonful of table salt salty. My wife, best friend and I came in Sunday to eat and watch the Cowboys game. Our waitress was great when she first walked to the table. Our drinks came out quickly then then things went down hill from there. My wife order a burger and fries and I order a the appetizer nachos with added brisket and carnitas. My wife had 2 bites of her burger and didn't like the taste of it and the fries were cold. My nachos barely had any of the meat I paid extra for and the cheese was already congealed and cold when it got to the table. My best friend ordered 2 shiner bocks a Patron and pineapple and chicken strips with fries. His tenders were luke warm and his fries were also cold. His patron and pineapple that was $10 was basically a glass of pineapple juice. He was not told of the daily drink specials were Shiners are $2.50 pints he was only brought bottles at $5.50 each. The waitress told us that she had 3 tables ours and the 2 outside, but the only table that she spent time at was her boyfriends table. He was there alone and did not order anything but she was standing and sitting at his table for quite some time. I believe in the total 3 hours we were there eating she checked on us 4 times. When we got our checks my best friend was first brought out a ticket for his food and Patron and Red-bull yet never ordered that. Was fixed ticket was brought out after about 30 min of sitting there waiting for her to be done talking to her boyfriend.
