Read moreThey recently bought the Farmers Market Poultry shop. It had been at the Farmers Market for 34 years. When it became available to purchase Jimmy and Dan purchased it. They sell Lily's Eggs that has a chicken ranch with 150 hens that live on three acres of pasture and natural lifestyle. These hens produce eggs of exceptional quality. They also sell organic duck and quail eggs. One of the owners, Jimmy, told me to make an authentic soufflé you must use duck eggs. They sell Jidori chicken, which is the Kobe beef in the poultry world. These are the chickens found in all the fine dining white linen tablecloth restaurants around town. Next to the Jidori chicken is Smart Chicken which has no added water and the hens live on an all natural diet with no antibiotics. Their sausages include smoked chicken herb and chicken verde. At least once a month they offer a sausage class for $45. Guests learn how to make sausages and then take home up to three pounds after the class. All of the kabobs are made onsite. Those who love uncured Applegate turkey bacon can buy it here. Pick up a copy of the complimentary culinary magazine that includes recipes for the Smart Chicken and other...
Read moreI have always had great experiences here but this year they ruined my New Years dinner. I spent $97 on country style pork ribs but when I unwrapped them it was beef not pork. Yes I know the difference. I couldn’t see what the female butcher was cutting. But she cut beef short ribs not pork country style ribs. It’s too late to return the meat. It’s too expensive to waste. There’s no way I can not cook this meat for the family dinner because the money has been spent. I’m beyond upset. I’m not sure I can ever trust or shop at Huntingtons again. This is so upsetting as I’ve shopped for all my holiday meats here for many years. So my advice is to look at everything before you leave. Make them show you anything they cut special that you can’t see in the showcase. Now I have to figure out how to make beef taste like pork and wait until next year for dinner...
