The worst customer service at the Farmer's Market store. They have a line that you are supposed to wait in for the next checker who is available. There was no one in line when I was waiting. There were three checkers working. One was on the phone and I thought she would help me when she got off the phone. She completed her phone call and left the check stand without a word to me. I proceeded to the next checker on the other side. I walked up to her and she said you have to go to the back of that line. Now there were several people standing in the line. I said I was the beginning of the line she said no I can't help you because those people will think it is unfair. What? Why? I'm trying to cut in line without waiting? No I am a grandmother and I had my 13 month old grandson in a stroller with me and I assure you and her that I was not trying to short step anyone. She refused to help me and told a co-worker to check me out on the other side of her check stand. So I made the walk of shame past the people standing in line looking at me to the other check stand. Now did that really make any sense? I asked her name on the way out just in case I wanted to complain about her. She told me May. I should have known this was a setup - I said yes and out walks what I can only imagine was her son who was also clueless. Luckily I am only visiting my daughter and can avoid this store at all...

Any other time of the year I can hang out at a World Market for hours and, during the holidays, having a store pick up option makes a huge difference. Today I needed to check on an item that I was told was out of stock (I had called days ago) and the line to check out just about doubled in the minutes it took for me to go to the stationary area, find the item I wanted and made it back to the front.

Miraculously, Peter was walking by and I asked if I had to wait with everyone else as all registers were busy and I didn't see a Pickup only line. He graciously walked me over to Karen and communicated I'd be next. While I waited my turn he supported Karen by locating my online order, validating my parking, and listened to my situation with finding the item I had "ordered" and fulfilled my request as I deemed fair. This extraordinary service, partnership between team members and customers seems like a unicorn situation these days. I acknowledged them both and left feeling full of the holiday spirit!
