I was at the original farmers market in Los Angeles next to the grove last week, and I couldn’t believe how many great places there are to eat at the farmers market. They seem to have really stepped up their game. So I thought I would start a new series and check out the food at the farmers market and report back on what is good. And here’s the first one. Kaylin & Kaylin Pickles is the very first pickle tasting bar. For just a couple of dollars you can get a pickle flight and taste of bunch of their pickles. Even some of their amazing sauerkraut’s. Make sure you pick up several containers, get them for Christmas gifts, stocking stuffers. My favorite was the bread and butter, pickles, and the honey mustard. Sweet heat was also good as well as the horseradish. So many great flavors!! @kaylinandkaylin . . . . . #reels #reelsinstagram #instareels #food #foodie #foodreels #instafood #pickles #dillpickles #pickle #kaylinandkaylin #kaylinandkaylinpickles #farmersmarket #originalfarmersmarket #farmersmarketla #losangeles #lafood #lafoodie #lafoodies #lafoods #bestfood #bestfoodfeed #bestpickles #grubwithgreg #grubwithgregapproved

I’m a pickle addict, my love for pickles started at a very young age. When I started seeing these all over TikTok and Instagram, everything pointed at these being the perfect pickles for pickle lovers and man were they right!! I ordered myself a jar of the classic dill wholes and the honey mustard chips. Even with 15% off, I won’t lie that they were VERY pricey, especially considering I only got 7 pickles in my jar of classic dill. Luckily, shipping was really quick and it only took 8 days to make it from LA to ATL and I even ordered on Christmas Day. Now for the real part of the review, the actual pickles themselves. WOW! These are the most fresh, premium, and crunchy pickles that I’ve ever had. Not a single pickle in the jar that’s either broken, crushed, squishy, or gross which I was very satisfied with. The classic dill are really solid, I do wish they were a little more sour than they are, but the flavor they have definitely hits the spot like a good classic deli pickle would. The honey mustard though, I can very much so see the hype about. It’s a concept that doesn’t make any sense and even looks and smells a little weird. But that taste is so incredibly unique that it’s difficult to describe, it’s something you just have to try for yourself and had me hooked after just a single chip. I gotta give great kudos to Scott for what he’s been doing with this business. He’s really nailed the concept of what a great pickle should be and I’m so very glad I got to try it. I only wish that they were a little cheaper, I don’t mind paying more for a really good pickle, but over $15 for a 32 oz jar seems a little bit excessive especially when shipping is another $12.75. Hopefully I can get out to LA sometime soon and try more flavors with the $3 pickle flight at their store!

First I have to say the owner responds to emails quite quickly. I had a question and it was answered within a very short period. I did wait quite a time to get my pickles but that was expected and stated when ordered so that did not bother me. I ordered Sweet Heat which is absolutely amazing. I don’t even like sweet pickles but these are amazing. The spicy dill chips are also so good! And the regular dill which I can’t stand. There is little dill flavor and they don’t even smell dill. I was so surprised because the spicy dill is so flavorful but not the plain dill. These were also a mistake in my order, I wanted the Garlic dill spears but by the time I went back they were sold out so I decided to just go with what I had ordered and maybe order the Spicy Garlic next time. Now these pickles are fifteen dollars a jar and very popular! Not only did I expect amazing, which for the most part they are, but I also expected a slightly bigger jar as they look bigger on the site. But that is really the only negative about the order itself. The pickles are crunchy and extremely good and to me (a pickle lover) worth a try. My hope is with their popularity one day they will hit store’s nationally… hello Walmart or Target lol. I can’t rate these any lower than five stars…. They really are that good…. And seriously if you like a mild pickle, the plain dill is for you because they are crunchy and fantastic pickles. I just prefer something more flavorful. I really can’t recommend these enough. An A plus for product and in a world where good customer service lacks, a A plus for the great...

I have been wanting to try this place for quite some time but kept forgetting during all of my visits to the Farmers Market. This past weekend I finally remembered and I’m so happy that I stopped by. As you would expect, they specialize in pickles and have two different locations at the Farmers market. This one that I stopped at specializes in pickle chips and pickle boats. Basically pickle chips are what you would expect in that they are cut circle slices of pickles with different chips and spreads on top and pickle boats are a half of a pickle with the middle scooped out and filled with a topping. You are paying a little extra for premium quality ingredients, but it’s still a lot cheaper than a lot of other places at the Farmers Market. The service is extremely fast and both the people working were very polite and helped me decide what to choose for my first visit. This is a to go type of place, so there is no inside seating, but there are plenty of tables all around the market where you can sit, eat, and enjoy.

For my first visit I wanted to try some of their most popular items so I chose the Flaming Hot Cheetos + Nacho Cheese Pickle Chips and the Cream Cheese & Everything Bagel Seasoning Pickle Boat. I would say I liked both of them, but especially the pickle chips were real hit. It reminded me of snacks that I had back in high school and honestly, I ate every bit of it. This is not the sort of place to go to fill up but is a great snack option. I plan to be back in the near future to try more of the flavor options and would recommend to any fan of pickles to give this...
