TLDR: long wait, bad service, terrible attitude, donāt come.
Had a terrible experience and prolly would not come again.
Came here twice before with Kien, and he was nice and professional and tried his best to do the job.
Made an appointment with Kien, he was still serving his previous customer 20min after my appointed time, and Jin was free. Therefore, I asked her if she could help cut my hair (might not be the politest way to ask, but I didnāt mean to be rude at all).
She agreed, asked about my request briefly and started cutting impatiently. She had a deadly face the whole time, despite me trying to start a friendly conversation multiple times.
Also, the haircut was horribly done where she cut when my hair was all wet and didnāt check the style. Terrible after dried and she tried to cover up by spraying some mousse - didnāt work. And also crude work where multiple hair stands out uncut which I had to pull them off afterwards.
In addition, she stared at me when I was given the tip options and mentally forced me to tip 20%, and I donāt feel worth it for the service and attitude.
Just to address the reply: I don't know anything about my demeanor, and me deciding not to wait was a totally unfair statement: I was already waiting there for more than 20min, and only brought up the request after seeing her was free for a while - there wasn't another client showing up until the very end of my haircut. Also, for the first time I came about a year ago, it was similar situation where Jin was caught up in a session and she put me with Kien - I don't see any bad posture for doing so vice versa. Also I wasn't rude at all, just didn't have my request worded in a complete paragraph in the beginning, and I was also cooperative the whole time after, smiling, sitting lower after she asked me to. I really don't know how to do better as a customer. Also, as an asian undergraduate student who is an engineering major, I really have like the lowest expectation among all kinds of customers, and they still were upsetting me quite a bit :(
Not treating your customers fair and square and then blaming on their behavior...

Instead, he refused to wash her hair before cutting because he ādidnāt have timeā and made her feel like he didnāt have time to style her hair after either. He said LA people are so āflakyā because he felt she was late. Which again, she was not late in the first place. He provided poor service and awful customer service. My friend left in tears and we had to call the receptionist back to complain and ask for a refund.
I can understand having a bad day, but what even is this??? Bad service and a bad attitude. NYC speciality or what. LA doesnāt need this. Iām sure everyone else at the salon is great, the receptionist is nice and owner even called to...
