This place is criminally slept on. First off - I love Greek food. I love authentic taverna style Greek food. Eating here, I felt like I was back in a gorgeous classic family owned taverna. You can tell the owner really cares about the feel of the spot. Spotlessly clean, the decoration is classic Greece, brings me right back.
Our waitress was super sweet - seated us quickly and we got a Greek beer to start the meal in an ice cold glass, frosty. Great start.
I LOVE taramasalata. I get it every time it's on the menu, and I've never found one quite like when I'm in Greece, but here it was. Fresh, lemony, bright, the right balance of roe with herbs, light, fresh, beautiful on the palette. Fantastic start to the meal, I'll be back regularly for this dish. Generous portion as well.
Secondly, I always crave true, proper saganaki, and boy did this spot deliver, flames, bubbling cheese, and crispy cheesy crust in all its glory. Perfectly lemony as well, could close my eyes and taste Greece. 10/10.
Also a sucker for a horiatiki salad. The dressing uses an excellent olive oil with low acidity, again, I felt like I was back on Crete. Fresh vegetables, crispy, light, excellent quality feta and olives. Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous.
The lamb paidakia was perfect. Cook was done like how it should be, with some char and sear on the outside. Beautiful herbs on top, tender, fat was rendered, the lamb itself was beautifully butchered and crispy in the right spots while tender and flavorful.
I can't sing the praises of this spot highly enough. If you like TRUE Greek food, this is the best in Los Angeles, hands down. And we have been on the hunt for years. Excellent excellent quality and kind management who truly cares about your experience from start to finish.

Read moreDo not order food from here if you are using the app “too good to go.” They completely scam you and the food was disgusting. The point of the app is to prevent food waste and restaurants to sell food at a discounted rate that would otherwise be wasted/ thrown away at the end of the day. (Example: they sell a to-go meal someone never ended up picking up) The expectation is that the purchased meal is food from the menu/ what the restaurant typically serves. So tell me why I received a meal of 2 salmon hotdogs with no buns and some nasty pasta. That’s not even Greek food. And there is no salmon hotdogs or pasta on the restaurant’s actual menu. It felt like they cooked that meal specifically for people who purchased the meal through the app. This defeats the purpose of the app. This is the literal description the about Delphi Greek Restaurant on the app: “Rescue a surprise bag which may contain tabouli, Melitzanosalata, hummus, Dolmades, Tiropita, Spanakopita, Keftedakia, Falafel, desserts, and/or other surprises! Variety and specific items not guaranteed. Some items may need to be reheated.” I get nothing is guaranteed but this is incredibly misleading for what I purchased and was served. Salmon hotdogs with no buns and pasta without tomato sauce isn’t Greek and it’s barely even edible. The staff was nice and the restaurant looks nice but do NOT order food from here via the app...
Read moreThe food was okay. Just okay. The gyro meet was so thinly cut that one can't even taste it. There weren't enough meat. The potatoes tasted old and bad. The Basmati rice was good and the salmon was good, but neither of which should be why one goes to a Greek restaurant.
If you want great selection, authentic food and a good portion, then consider driving over the hill to The Firehouse Restaurant in Reseda, or The Great Greek in Sherman oaks.
The owner is obsessed with getting recognitions from the city, congressman, representatives and any government person he can. It is akin to being at a political activist's office instead of a restaurant. Would you buy a car from "honest Abe's Used Car" lot? If one has to say honest, they most like is not. The owner should focus on the food and the ambiance apropriate for an enjoyable meal instead of walls full of political recognitions.
The restaurant and bathrooms were very clean. Server had to be gestured to get his attention, didn't check on the customers.
From authenticity, having lived in Greece, I wouldn't go to Delphi for Greek food. As for flavor, it was okay. As for value, it was overpriced.
