This is a great example of how poor customer service can turn a minor issue into a major issue.
I just received my first order and although was very pleased with the quality of the bags, I was concerned about the bags with the larger stones on them. They are made of large mirrored glass, and anyone with business insurance knows that cracked glass is not something you want to pass on to a customer. I called you as soon as I received my package and inspected the items. I was very surprised to speak with a woman with a strong accent who proceeded to talk over me and was not interested at all in trying to make this right. I explained that I didn't want a refund, but an exchange would be better because I liked the purse. I don't think she heard because she was still talking and telling me that you do not accept returns on minor defects. Even after I stopped speaking she continued to go on and on about how you would not refund for minor defects and once she tired of speaking she hung up on me! I could not believe that. In all of the 20 years of doing business with merchants, I have never had one hang up on me! When I called back she would answer and then hang up. This happened again and again.
Although this was a minor issue, it is really sad that her attitude was not of gratitude for having a new customer but as if I was bothering her and even if there was a real issue she did not care. She mentioned that she was the manager and co-owner so there was no other re-course to get this minor issue resolved. As a business owner, I take this as a lesson learned and I will not spend another dime with a business who treats their customers this way. Speaking loudly and over me, not even interested in the pictures I'd taken, and then hanging up and not answering when I called back is a clear indication of a lack of regard for customers. There was nothing in the description that indicated the bag had broken and cracked stones on them. And since the stones that were chipped were a significant focal point of the bag, along with her stone-walling me without even wanting to see the pictures or listen to me, I feel like you sold this bag knowing full well it was damaged. I would not sell my customers a damaged bag and I sure would not hang up and not answer my phone for a paying customer. This is not a good way to do business and gives the impression that you knew full well about this and that you do this a lot. I am only out $18.50 but you have lost all future business that I had fully intended to do with you over a mere $18.50. Even if Christine could not help me, she didn't have to go off on me as if I did something wrong. She treated me like less than a person and for that reason, I would never recommend anyone do business with a place like this. There is a serious fundamental issue with places that take you money and when something is wrong they say things like "that's not our problem", or "I can't help you", or "I don't have time for this". Places like you don't seem interested in building a relationship with clients or providing a quality customer experience so that people come back. Many of the distributers pretty much have the same style of products all the time. So I started walking around and exploring different stores. I found lovely purses on 11th and Los Angeles. When I first walked into luvly purses I just had a great feeling that this was going to be my go to spot when I needed to restock and update my merchandise. Christy the owner is as beautiful as her products she had so many cute purses, wallets, hand bags, backpacks and fanny pacs.
