Have you ever walked around LA and found yourself thinking “where do you even get an outfit like that??” It is very possible the answer is the Melrose Arts District (motion to shorten this to MAD “want to meet for coffee in the MAD”).
Any aesthetic outside of the mainstream can be found here and often is still expensive AF. Secondhand Gucci strawberry jeans for $800? They got ‘em. Or if a blazer that was featured in a technicolor dream coat competition and didn’t win is more your style, it is also findable in one of many vintage clothing stores.
There are TONS of cute finds and many quality coffee shops, dessert spots, pizza places, tattoo parlors, and barber shops. Even if you are not shopping, grab a coffee and walk the strip. There is a lot to see.
Oh and there is a place for insta girlies to stand in front of graffiti wings to look hip.

Read moreI like shopping on Melrose because I hate shopping anywhere else. To buy clothes and enjoy it is for the birds chickens and fairies; now pick one of the three I mentioned and see if you can figure out who I mean if I'm referring to men that like shopping.
Now; with that being said, I must say that this 'Melrose Place' is the exception to that ignorant claim from another generation that I really wasn't serious about and only said because I chuckled for a brief moment when it came to mind.
Speaking of coming, let me tell you that everyone that likes to feel fancy and hip should come in Melrose now!
