V Cafe — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I've been coming here for lunch once a month for several years. The staff has always been friendly, but during a visit last year they took it even further. Late last summer I went to pick up my to-go order and was already having a rough day. The owner chatted me up as usual, and when I went outside to take my lunch back to work, my car would not start. I popped the hood and was trying to figure out what was wrong (I am not a car person). The owner saw me and came out to help. He not only jumped my car for me with his own cables and another member of his team, he gave me the cables in case I needed them between there and the auto shop. When I brought them back a few days later, I also brought him flowers, which he kept alive and on display in the cafe for weeks.

The food was already fantastic, but I'll never forget that kindness that day. It's been nearly a year and I just told the story again, so I thought I'd come back here to share. Highly recommend. Also the Caesar Wrap...

Attentive and caring staff. Multiple vegetarian delights. Delicious chili and wonderful grilled veggie panini. Looking forward to trying the grilled veggie orzo salad. Great for a couple of parties of two or three to eat in, but they have a charming space not designed for crowds. I look forward to picking up more of their deliciously hand crafted meals. Came here to work for lunch. Ordered the caprese sandwich with salad & sesame bagel with butter, jam & a latte. The space is small and quaint, limited outlets for laptops.
