Marshalls — Local services in Lower Paxton Township

Rude management and until recently this store was extremely dirty every time I came in. It does seem cleaner than before. However a few of the managers seem to really not have it together. Also what’s with the disarray? The shelves are cluttered with so many different things that don’t even match the other things on the shelves. Their stock is lying on the floor most of the time. I saw a cleaner the other day, trying to navigate a huge pile of debris on the floor alone and a huge spill of syrup left by another consumer. I’m sure that there is supposed to be 2 people for a spill so that a customer doesn’t slip, however she was doing it alone. I saw a manager and another employee walk right past the young person trying to clean it up without offering any assistance. It didn’t help that she was a POC and they were not. It instantly made me walk out of the store and not buy a single thing. The lines are also long and I also noticed how expensive their items tend to be compared to their alleged higher priced competitors. This is one of my absolute favorite stores and today I did a return (wedding gifts someone else bought) so of course I had to go and spend that return money, LOL. I was truly saddened as I went through the store to see ie: jewelry boxes empty and obviously the merchandise was stolen as the clips that hold it in place were ripped ! I know that the rest of us that are honest will have to pay higher prices to make up the difference and believe the store could do more,(security wise) to curtail this! I handed an employee 6 empty jewelry boxes and her response was the same as mine! Decent store, would have given 5 stars if there weren't as many empty shelves and wasted space, and if the store was staffed properly other than one cashier! There is seriously stuff for every part of your homestead, ranging from minimalist to elaborate decor. And not just for inside but there is plenty of ideas and options for outside, in your car or out and about on vacation. Plus this place has the holidays covered! You'll never not find something for your special event or to accent your living space. Clothing for every size and age group too. On your way out grab some snacks for your victory...
