Hobby Lobby — Local services in Lower Paxton Township

Standing here at the fabric cutting counter for ages. I have rung the bell for service multiple times. There is no customer service. Don’t be fooled by the cheap fabric prices— you get what you pay for in the fact that you can’t even get the fabric without an insane wait. Also, their system of cutting and pricing fabric (when you do get help) is primitive to say the least and it takes SO long. I‘ve walked away before without even getting fabric cut and I’m about to do that again. Abysmal. They need to step up their game. I was standing there for 15 minutes with no service.

This is a great Craft & Art Supply Store. Hobby Lobby had a wonderful selection of Home decor when I shopped there 2 weeks ago. I even went back, the next day to buy some Napkin Rings. I bought 4 pretty blue Sea glass napkin rings. This store has a big selection of year-round Seasonal Holiday decor too. I saw the beginning of this year's Fall decor as it was being set up on the Store's shelves. I'll be coming back to shop in a week or two, to look for some new Fall decorating needs. When I shop here, I know I can find a good variety of tasteful & traditional Fall decor. It's great to see all the fun & whimsical Halloween decorations too. Had a pretty disturbing experience there tonight. The customer in front of me was Spanish speaking and her cashier also was so she was helping her out and speaking Spanish. Everywhere else this would be a positive thing to have a bilingual employee — not at Hobby Lobby. The older woman manager very rudely and unprofessionally said "English only" and when the employee asked why she was told "because I said so." I would like to see where in the employee handbook it says employees can't speak in Spanish to a Spanish speaking customer.
