Five Guys — Restaurant in Lower Paxton Township

I haven’t had five guys burgers in a very long time. But I remember the first time that I had it, it was delicious. Well, a lot has changed since then. This was my first time trying it at this location and I do think it’s this area that is really lacking in quality and taste. This was no exception to that subpar, mediocre food experience. My burger patties tasted bland with a dry texture. There was no seasoning or flavor to it. The toppings that I added were very minimal and nothing fresh. There was a light sprinkle of iceberg lettuce, mushrooms that tasted like they were from a can, chopped up grilled onions that were fried too long, and a few tomato slices. The buns were all smushed and hadn’t been toasted very well on the grill. It looked like a sloppy, rushed job. Now, onto the fries. Apparently they’re “hand-cut”? But why do they have to give me all the butt ends? Literally, my cup was filled with tiny small pieces that were crusty. Also. I’m not a fan of skin on the fries as well as soft fries. Who likes soft fries with their burger? They were super salty and greasy. Not to mention, their prices were jacked up. Almost $11 for the hamburger. Really? If the quality of the ingredients were fresh and premium, then I would justify it. However, this is not the case. It’s very disappointing that you’re not getting the value for what you pay for. I’ve never been to a Five Guys in my entire life. My husband and I went today, 7/15/24, around noonish to this one. All I can say is wow. The service was top-notch. The restaurant was spotless clean. The food was amazingly delicious not to mention plenty of french fries which were perfect and deliciously crispy, even the soda fountain cherry Dr Pepper was the best I’ve ever had lol. Each of the employees were super super super kind, polite, and very professional. I give props to the two gentlemen employees who handled the phone call, seemed like they were talking to a customer who wanted delivery but they kept saying very very politely, the two guys, your two employees, that they do not deliver, that the customer would have to come pick up. The two gentlemen who spoke on the phone to that crazy customer remained polite, professional, and kind the entire time. Anyway, amazing, delicious, juicy burger even reheated later on, and so many delicious french fries. We are going to go there every time we go to Costco across the street. 5 Stars, I took my neighbor to harrisburg cause she has to spend down her funds to continue receiving services from "office of aging" office so I took her to furniture stores around the Harrisburg PA area since we live in Mifflin County, PA 70 miles away and there is nothing there, can't wait to move out of this state this year anyways, what really grind my gears we my neighbor went to pay for Large Fries and a Coke Cola for $8 dollar total she realizes his Son has his credit card and playing the holding hostage money games luckily she had a $20 in her wallet, but unfortunately it made me flip out and am like "Here We Go" with this guy that the second instance of his nonsense that ruin my evening day and I was prior having a good time before the Xfinity store mess his name on the bill yet my neighbor mother is paying for the services and can't find out what's in the bill cause the employee can't disclosed it to us she was doing her job nothing against the Xfinity employee , this is his Son yet again messing...
