I hate to do this, but it seems I’ve been left no recourse. I debated leaving a 2nd star because the associates have at least been decent to deal with - however 11 days into this process, I would’ve expected a solution.
I have a warranty claim for a pair of boots, and the store is essentially refusing to do their part and accept the return. I have made numerous phone calls back and forth with the manufacturers and the Lynchburg Sportsman Warehouse trying to resolve this issue, only to continue to be passed off.
It’s unfortunate, the correct answer would’ve been to take the return/warranty claim and issue me credit- it’s the stores responsibility to file the claim at that point, not the consumer. Yet somehow here I am sending emails, making phone calls, and now writing a review trying to find a solution. I should be on the payroll! Ha!

The employees at the gun counter are impolite and enjoy gossiping. They were discussing, "Why would he bring kids gun shopping?" as I was leaving. "Nobody brings kids gun shopping, they leave the kids at home," I overheard them say. They said other stuff too. The fact that the 5 and 7 year olds I had with me were touching guns must have irritated them. I nearly confronted them but chose to ignore it. When I told management regarding their gossip, the manager laughed and told me that "guns and kids don't really mix," so they just upheld the employees bad behavior.    Read moreIt's not a very friendly place to shop. I tried to call three times before I left Concord NC to pick-up an item that there web site said was in stock in the store. Had 19 minutes total on three calls trying to reach the gun counter, they never answered. Even spoke to customerservice and they tried to connect me to the gun counter with no answer. We drove 3.25 hours to get there to only be treated by very unfriendly associate at the gun counter. His brief conversation was that their website is never right, and it was my fault for driving that far for something that was not in stock. He was rude and short, but he did not offer to help with anything else that we might have been interested in. I plan to never use their stores at all again, this was my first visit to a Sportsman Warehouse...
