Sadly, Kiddie Kastle in Louisville is not a local business that I will support again in the future. Our issues with this store and whether we would ever receive our furniture, quickly became a nightmare. I was 4 1/2 months pregnant when we initially ordered the furniture and today our baby is 5 months old. As of today it has been 9 months since our initial order. Our initial furniture collection was out of stock (we found out by calling the store after waiting close to10 weeks, they never initiated this call), and we had to switch to a different collection. This new collection came in (one item at a time, lots of driving as we lived an hour away), however the nightstand was missing. Finally we were told she couldn't get the nightstand and she tried to match it closely to a different collection (only she matched it to our first collection, not the actual furniture we have). Needless to say, it did not match. The store owner at this point was not willing to help anymore, and sent us a name of someone who could refinish this new nightstand, at our expense. Not to mention the nightstand that came in was a cheaper version of the furniture we were supposed to receive, but the owner was trying to charge us the same price as the more expensive collection. Is this how they repay customers that have been waiting 9 months? We felt that there was a true lack of concern for us from the store owner Pam & employee Diane, as we rarely received updates from them on our furniture status, nor did they ever take the time to return our phone calls. Toward the end while we were waiting on the nightstand, Pam the owner told me to "Relax and enjoy my baby... as the nightstands were not an intrical part of a baby nursery."    Read moreDO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! Let me start by saying that I understand there are going to be delays due to the shortage of supplies, workers, delivery drivers, etc. That's not even our issue. We placed our order for a suite of nursery furniture in October of 2021. We were told this would be plenty of time, as my wife was about 20 weeks pregnant at the time. Our baby is now 5 months old (July 2022) and we finally received our last piece of furniture this past weekend - 9 MONTHS after our order was placed. There were several deliveries in this process because, as mentioned, we ordered several pieces and again are understanding of supply issues. From the beginning, we had to call every single time to ask if our furniture was in yet. Each time we called, miraculously a piece would show up shortly after. Meaning, if we had not called each time, Iâm not sure we would have gotten our furniture when we did. We felt we were lied to over and over. The story from the store was never the same - we were told several times that weâd be getting pieces from trucks that were in Florida and that âexceptionsâ were being made to pull inventory from trucks not meant for Kiddie Kastle and that weâd have our stuff in a week or so (which we were told several different times and we would end up calling back at the end the the timeframe we were given when we didnât have our item). This is the worst customer service I have seen from a local business. I do not know how she is still in business after reading all of the horrible reviews.    Read moreI am adding to my review from two years ago because we just purchased our second set of furniture for my son and we are giving the previously reviewed set to our new baby. The crib will convert to a full size bed and the set will last her forever. The furniture from 2016 when I wrote my first review is in top notch condition. This furniture is high quality. I joked with my husband today that the kidsâ furniture is way nicer than our own and that I am jealous. The owner is great to work with. Everything came on time. Installation went well. Iâve read other reviews on here. There is one review calling everyone who rated the business 5 stars a con artist. Well, I am not one. This is a real review from a real person. What I donât understand is how someone who has never bought or tried to buy furniture from that store can rate it. That is ridiculous. It must be either a competitor or just a rude person being unfair. The owner has returned every one of my calls if she missed it and is just an overall caring, friendly person. Rating the furniture as well as the business is important. Go to the store, open the drawers of the furniture and check out the quality. It speaks for itself. Iâm so glad we invested our money in this furniture from a local business.
2016 review: I just received my furniture. It is exactly what I ordered and in great condition. I received everything on time. I was told in June it would be 9-12 weeks and it was 10 It only took an hour for the two installers to set up the crib, dresser with changing table top, two-drawer bench seat, nightstand, and reclining glider.
