God I wish I could give this place negative stars. I bought a dress here on Thursday. Admittedly I was in a bind as another dress I had fell through. I arrived there a half hour before close and quickly tried on a few dresses that suited my needs and chose one. It was very clearly one that had been tried on many times, as it had put stains and the closure above the zipper was falling off, but I was understanding of that because again it was off the rack. I asked if the clasp could be fixed and if the couple of missing buttons could be replaced, and the young lady named Micah helping me reassured me that they could take care of it. I paid and left it with them. The next day they called and said it was ready and my girlfriend picked it up in the evening and I didn’t even take the plastic cover off til Saturday night when I steamed it for the wedding on Sunday. On Sunday I took the dress with me at 7 am to the hotel to get ready with my baby cousin for her big day. At 4pm we all started getting in our dresses to head to the venue for the 5pm ceremony. Upon getting zipped into my dress, the zipper split open and we were unable to get it back down without force, because I was essentially trapped in the dress and then I had to be SEWN in so I didn’t miss the entire wedding! This was extremely stressful and almost derailed the whole day. Today I tried to return this dress. The manager at this location, upon returning from the bank, must’ve asked her sales associate about why I was there and in speaking with me would barely let me get through my explanation of what happened before telling me that I had altered the dress and it could not be taken back and that I was approaching her with hostility. Then after she finally let me speak and tell her the story, she changed her tune. However, upon talking with the seamstress, she now claims that I altered the dress on the inside! When we inspected it, I could see machine stitching in an entirely wrong color of thread on the inside. I never altered this dress. How could I have? I am not a seamstress and don’t own a sewing machine and certainly wouldn’t have been able to have it altered by a professional in one day on a Saturday! They continued to insist that the seamstress there looked at it when she fixed the clasp and it did not have that stitching. I admitted to having to be sewn into it, with a needle and thread, thread that I then carefully removed and left no trace of. Why would I lie about having it altered? It didn't even need alterations, it fit me perfectly. This store took this dress as a return after it had been altered, or it was damaged on the floor and they fixed it to continue to be able to use it and it never should’ve been sold to me. You can even tell that the repairs done to it by the store are poor quality! Buttons being sewn on in the wrong place, weird color thread being used, etc. The manager there should be embarrassed about the state of that store, and I just cannot fathom why I would take hours out of my day to come and wait to speak to her just to try to lie about fixing a dress I only tried on one time before I put it on for the wedding. She was committed to finding a reason not to refund me the $200. She even claims my girlfriend signed a form taking the dress as is, but could not produce that form upon request. Just do yourself a favor and go to any lovely small business wedding shop in the area. They care about what they do, they take pride in their work and their jobs. This place has always been in a sad state and you’re making a deal with the devil if...
Read moreMy first experience was amazing I was there for my mother’s dress and the woman was so helpful and sweet but this experience was not up to par. I took my bridesmaids and the lady that was helping was non existent. I booked a 9am and no one else was there so I thought it would be better. The woman did not help at all. We tried on a dress and fell in love. The sizing was incorrect to we asked if they had other sizes she said it would have to be ordered and it wouldn’t get here until 6 days before my event. She then sized them and she was completely wrong on the sizes. She told my friend she was an 18 and when she tried on the 18 it was a boat on her. Turns out she can fit in an 14. So we tried another store to see if there was other options or styles. We found the same dress in different sizes so we got one and went back to the store and tried the 14 on again to see if we could squeeze in that one. And it worked. She then came back up to us and said you’re back! We responded with the whole story ^ about driving to another store and she said well I could have looked it up. Personally I think that is part of her job no? To take it upon herself to look it up at different stores and let us know if they have another size. She then said that we could have just asked her to help zip up the dress but again I feel like this is part of the job to take it upon yourself to see if someone needs help. Because she also wasn’t around during the appointment so not many times did we have to ask her for help. After this altercation she then walked over to other workers and started talking about my party. I felt very uncomfortable in this time because how unprofessional to talk about your client right in-front of them. So again first experience wonderful. Second experience not as great. Tina was not...
Read moreExtremely disappointed. First, I had no idea that my bridesmaid dress was in. I didn’t get any automated notification. I decided to call and ask for an update and my dress had been there for 2+ weeks. Why on earth would you not call if a dress had been sitting there waiting to be picked up for that long? On top of that, it is way too big. I tried on a 12 in store. It seemed to fit a little tight in my chest, but I was pressured into getting a size 14 because the dresses apparently get stretched and worn. I was super skeptical, because the dress seemed like new and didn’t appear to be worn at all. The more I hesitated, the more she tried to convince me. I’ve lost 5 pounds since I went to be fitted. There is no way that losing 5 pounds would have made such a huge difference in my chest. Yet, here we are and the dress is absolutely huge. They make most of their money on alterations, and I bet they do everything they can to force you to go a size up. Now it’s too late to try and get them to correctly order a better size because I was out of town and couldn’t pick it up until a month after it arrived and now the wedding is in a month.
The last time I got a dress from them, I didn’t need any alterations at all. Now I’m going to need A LOT of alterations just so my dress will stay on and not fall off of my body. I guarantee there is no way in hell that I’ll get them done here. Especially after it took them FIVE tries to have my wedding dress altered and every time they altered it, it looked worse. How can you not make it so the layers are level, and that you are seeing under layers on one side of the dress and not the other....
