I wanted the bed that was discontinued with Ashleyās but this place had the bed & sectional I wanted. January I call to get an update to see if weāre still on for the date I was provided in February & get word from Alex pieces of my furniture is in. I explained Iām not paying 2 delivery fees so we worked it out & they offered to only charge 1 delivery fee. Cool! However, I end up with a partial sectional š«¤. My thoughts were be patient you just closed on your home so the hard part is out the way right?! Wrong! Alex started with the excuses, Iām still being understanding. The furniture is at the warehouse in ATL, the weather (grant it did snow), issues with the driver. At this point what are you even talking about because I donāt work for you & your driver isnāt my issue but yours. I get a surprise call on a Saturday (they donāt deliver on weekends) they can deliver the other piece of the sectional! Iām not home but my son is & Iām so tired of dealing with them I say go ahead & go deliver. Welp while at the hair salon I get a call from my son that these incompetent untrained delivery guys sent from this so called business put a hole in my wall in my newly built home š¤Æ. Iām livid because when you left someone told my son ā I know your motherā as if knowing me is going to mysteriously fix this hole in my wall. Finally the other piece of my sectional + a hole. At this moment Iām leaning on my religion b/c Lord are you testing me is all I can think! I donāt care how big or small it is I need you to make it right ASAP. I called spoke with Alex the same day who found the audacity to tell me he has other customers in the store can he call me back. I lost my marbles literally! So you got my money & was ready to blow me off. I explained he need not hang up that phone & to get his manager. I want my hole fixed & painted. Thatās fair you would think! But nooooo I even had to make a trip to the store & call the police because what youāre not going to do is get my money then proceed to brush me off. Grant I was told in December I wouldnāt start being billed until I got the furniture but that was a lie too. Definitely a big deal b/c a lie is a lie & thatās predatory lending to me but Iām paying it off in 120 days so letās get this deal done so I can move on right?! Wrong again! After going back again this time with a male family member on a Saturday in the middle of the day, lights out no oneās home. Interesting. ATP Iām letting my cousin handle it because Iām at my wits end ready to sue! Not going back & forth about my money youāve collected with no issues! Now grant Iām still waiting for my bed!!! Iām not sure where they found these crackheads to deliver but baby they whipped up in my driveway so fast I thought they were going to back into the house. I work from home & can see everything from my work window + the alarm. They come in smelling like cigarettes & a fresh pipe. The guy who called hisself starting the repairs says āSam must not know how bad this isā & weāll have to come out here again to patch it & paint. I reply he knows he just DGAF! To add even more insult to injury they put my side rails to my bed on upside down š¤¦š½āāļø. The short guy that I see when I go in the store had the nerve to ask me to sign paperwork saying I got my furniture & caught an attitude while I was reading it before I gave my John Hancock š. He acted as if I damaged his home & took his money š„“. Sam you received pictures of my wall & have yet to finish the job. I hope you all didnāt think I was going to forget this review. In addition Iāll be contacting the BBB & the attorney general. I work in lending š & Alex from our conversation I know you understood I was very knowledgeable when it came to lending so to think you were going to play with my coins & not finish my wall is insane. We first went to Hot Buys in FEBRUARY this year to get a new couch. The salesman said they had a good deal going where we could get a nice discount and free delivery/assembly if we purchased more. We decided it might be a good time to upgrade our bed as well so we ended up with a bedroom set, sectional, and then a headboard and frame for our guest room. When it came time to check out we did not get as deep a discount as the salesman said, when we started to trim down our order the discount started reappearing, might just be a miscommunication with the salesman and manager. Anyway, we didn't need the new furniture until June when our house finished so we scheduled delivery and address when we checked out.
I received a phone call late MARCH saying that our order is ready for delivery. I informed them that we could not take it until June, like we discussed. Early JUNE I call in to remind them that we could take delivery at the end of the month and was told that there is no way they could have our furniture by the end of the month. They blamed the backorder on the pandemic, which could make sense if we didn't order and they tried to deliver before the shut downs started. Anyway we got the sectional delivered in mid-JULY, just the sectional, nothing else. At the end of AUGUST we finally got our bedframe, end tables, a mirror for the dresser, and the headboard for the guest room. Two weeks later in SEPTEMBER we got the dresser for the mirror and they delivered some metal rails for the guest room. The rails didn't attach to the headboard and we were assured it would be made right. Knowing how janky they had behaved in the past we called every week to get the right head board or rails delivered. We talked with drivers, different store managers, a district manager, and the original salesman. It was always going to take a week for them to get the correct rails in. I finally told them just come pick the headboard and rails up I was done with waiting on them. Still couldn't get anything to happen. Today (OCTOBER) I returned the headboard and rails and called my credit card company to dispute the charge.
Some additional details beside the timeline; when they first dropped off the headboard they tried to convince us we ordered a full and not a queen, quickly reversed when we asked for a refund. Additionally they tried to convince us we ordered only a headboard and not the whole frame, luckily we had our order form and showed them exactly what we ordered, asking for a refund was the only way for them to agree that we did order everything on our form. We didn't get free delivery because we ordered so much stuff, directly condratictory to what we were told when we purchased. They rarely answer the phone and never call you back when you leave a message or note. They grumped about wearing a mask when making their many deliveries. When it was delivered the guys didn't put my bed together correctly and the drawer on the bed won't slide out correctly. Someone did come out to fix the slats in the bed but I was told a new frame around the drawer had to be ordered. It's now August! My chase is broken on my sectional as well. I have called several times about these matters and can barely get an answer most of the time! Then if someone does answer they tell me to call back or message a number that nobody responds from. I have been up to the store as well and they told me it was basically a warranty issue and that I would have to contact Ashley which I did! They can't do anything themselves it has to be a claim written from the store. I was told they were going to send a tech once the parts came in but that has yet to happen! No updates! No communication! Do Not buy from these people!
UPDATE: It is now January 16 ,2025 I am calling almost every week now and still getting the run around š” Why am I paying for broken furniture and can't get it replaced or at least get a phone call back. I have been told that my replacements are there and that they are going to bring them. Still nothing! One minute I call and they say "oh I thought it was already delivered" then it's that they don't have the right people that really know what they are doing to come swap it out.
