The Ice Rink — Local services in Madison

It was a fun time for all of us, and everyone can't stop saying they want to go ice skating again.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed in how horrible the skates were. They were so dull (I had to trade my first pair in because the blades were so flat/dull... like straight from the factory, not-yet-sharpened dull. I also don't know if we just have weird shaped feet but they were PAINFUL. Our whole party had to sit down constantly because they pain became unbearable. We tried loosening, tightening, positioning socks differently... everything. So, if you have your own skates...DEFINITELY bring them.

I was also a little skeeved out that the kids were handling the food straight out from the skate rental area with bare, unwashed hands. They were all incredibly, amazingly nice and helpful though.

We had a group of 15 skate last night and it was such a blast! We were all really impressed by the manager, George. He hopped in to make the skate rental go faster, sharpened all the blades, helped some kids on the ice who weren’t being very safe, and just overall made it a great environment!
