I was highly disappointed in the customer service for the on-line store. They had advertised a discount code underneath one available item, with no other options. I called and spoke to customer service who directed me To email and send a photo of their website with the code and the item, which I did. The response I received was to place the order and then they would correct the pricing. I followed all of their directions, only to receive a comment that they were not going to adjust the pricing because that item was not part of the discount, even though the code was directly below the one specific item with no other items/choices available. They the. Removed the code below this item on line. I feel it was false advertisement and the direction and handling of the situation was very poor. If they would’ve said this in the first place I would have ordered something else. I have always held lands end in to high-quality in both their items and services, but this last experience has definitely...
Read moreLands' End began in Chicago (1963), as a mail-order yachting supply company that specialized in clothing and accessories. Their sporting goods line is extensive. I have purchased Lands' End products for years. They look good and last.
The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Prices at this overstock store are surprisingly low. Goods are separated by sex and size. There is also a children's section. Closeouts are mixed with full priced merchandise although everything is clearly marked. You can leave your choices on the central counter keeping your hands free to continue shopping. Checking-out is fast and easy. Shipping is available. Most items are returnable. Alterations, performed off premises, are offered on some merchandise, then shipped. Check with the salesperson for details.
STUFF: Parking is free. The dressing rooms and everything else are wheelchair accessible. In case you're towing a yacht, there is...
Read moreWe purchased a jacket for my husband in late fall at the Lands’ End store. He didn’t wear it much until the cold weather set in in December. After a few wearings he found the zipper to be faulty and had a problem with the lining. We returned it to the store but unfortunately, no longer had the receipt; although I had a copy of the transaction on my credit card statement which I showed her. The sales person said they had to send it to corporate for the return because of no receipt and I would get a credit in the mail. The purchase price was about $125.00 and the credit I received was $12.00. I spent much time online and in the phone with Lands’ End customer service and that’s it. Very poor customer relations and not standing by their product. If you buy anything at the store vs online keep...
