This was one of my worst experiences ever in a store. My friend and I went into the store looking for a figure, and the only one available was in a locked display case. It seemed like there were no employees available to talk to about getting it out so we had to ask one of the cashiers to take it out of the case for us. Once he took it out of the display case he immediately walked off with it saying he'd hold it behind the counter, not even giving us a chance to look at it to make sure it was what we wanted. The store was also filled with "buy one get one free" signs (clearly reused since a few said the sale had expired 2 months ago), and we were curious as to whether or not the sale applied to what we bought, but never had a chance to ask since the employee walked off so fast. We spent roughly 20-25 minutes in line with 3 different registers were open. When it was finally our turn we went up to the register that the employee from earlier was working, and he had completely forgotten about the figure and seemed thrown off when we said that's why we were there. Him and another employee did seem a little out of it while we were there, and, while it could've been from another one of the customers, we did immediately smell marijuana when we walked in. Overall we will not be visiting this store again.
I suggest going up the hill to the one in Buckland Hills mall. We went up to that one after leaving this store and had a far better experience when it comes to...
Read moreNormally at this location, I have had a good experience for Gamestops. But today I went to buy Luigis Mansion 3. I walked in and I was the only one there and there were 3 employees who never greeted me or asked if I needed help, I gave them the benefit of the doubt though. But it was so odd that they never even said anything when I walked in, everytime I go here they always greet me and ask if I need help, but this time I was completely ignored they did not even look in my direction. I pick up the case and walk up to the counter and one of the employees was playing on his DS and said that I needed to go to the next register, which I found rude and not a good way to attract customers. I stood there for 5 minutes until finally one of them acknowledged me, He had no idea what I was there for until I said something, he took my money, handed me my change and did not even say anything after that. It was awkward and unpleasent, having to wait 5 minutes in an empty store for bad customer service
The one at the mall is much better and more consistent...
Read moreNice clean store. Nice, helpful, & Knowledgeable employees. Descent stock of new and used games too. The prices on used games could still be lower. I mean, come on Game Stop, A $5 buck savings on used isn't very much when they're buying the used games back for about half what they sell for. Plus you can't get any of the free download perks the new games give you cause someone else got them off the new disc! I need a much better incentive to buy used when I can get a discount from walmart or best buy with EXTRA perks on buying the new games. It's not worth the $5 buck savings on new games. It's fine when you're buying an old game for $10 bucks or so. Then you can buy all the extras and add ons cheap. They used to do it better a few years back. You got top dollar for used games and the new used games sold cheaper. But now it's all...
