I was at Ace Hardware on Sunday, 7/24. My husband and I walked in store there was a line from the service desk to the door. I husband needed a part for our washer. He had been to the store the day before and was told the parts person, I believe named Terry would be in at 10:00 on Sunday. My husband went to the parts area, only to be told that Terry was busy at the service desk helping with UHaul rentals. After about 15 minutes my husband realized that he should probably stand in the long line to talk to Terry about the part he needed. I was looking around the store and decided to buy some plant food and check out cause my husband was still in line. The person checking out was a nice young man, but couldn't read. When he asked for my rewards number he pronounce GREG as George. I corrected him and he apologized saying he just mispronounced his name. I took the plant feed to the car and got my meter for blood sugar to get a battery for it since Greg was still in line and Ace had a battery station. When I paid out, the same young man asked me for my rewards number and looked at the name and called Greg, George again. I corrected him again. Meanwhile Greg is still waiting in line. There were at least 4 other employees supposedly working and took turns sometimes to help Terry with the customers in line. Greg was in line for at least 45 minutes. Once Terry was able to help him, the part that we needed was hanging on a shelf. Which means that Greg could of bought the part he needed on Saturday and we didn't need to come and wait 45 minutes in line to be told that by the parts guy. Read moreRented a Uhaul from this place. Pretty quick and clean. Went to return it. Called as asked what time they closed they said 6pm. I showed up 535pm. After fueling and cleaning out the Uhaul. The guy standing at the uhaul desk said Uhaul desk is closed you have to check in online or come back in the morning....Apparently the Uhaul desk closes at 530 PM. I stood there trying to check in the Uhaul for almost 15 minutes because the Uhaul App and website is utter garbage and won't let you add a picture of the odometer to turn in.The other guy told me I would have to come back in the morning or pay a $25 fee. I told him I was trying to not have to drive back another 15 mins each way the next morning and he pretty much just blew me off. I tried 3 different browsers for the stupid Uhaul page and it was still not working. Then Josh came up to me and asked what the problem was. I told him the situation and he said he had seen me standing there for like 15 plus minutes. He said they normally don't check in Uhauls at the end of the night to keep from working past 6pm but he would do it for me real quick. Basically I wrote this whole review to say the crew you had working closing on Sat Dec 18 is pretty garbage except Josh who was awesome. Give this man a promotion...
Read moreI have had the worst experience with customer service at this location. I am a rewards member and received a coupon and invite to the Ace Labor Day BBQ Party. I went to purchase a grill and they refused to take the coupon they sent me. Even though the coupon was only offering $12.50 off of a purchase over $75 ( with absolutely no text excluding grills from the coupon) which would make sense considering the coupon was sent within an email advertising your Labor Day grill sale!!. The grill I wanted to buy was $239 and I guess losing $12.50 on the purchase was too much for this store to handle. It is kinda crazy that you advertise grills and send coupons within the advertisement and then don't honor them, Jackie treated me like and child, completely embarrassing customer service performance. After asking her not to try to argue with me, she replied with, "I am not arguing, I am trying to help you comprehend the fact that I will not take that coupon." I was happy to take my money elsewhere and will never be returning...
