I went in to buy a good large generator was met by a very nice young lady it was the sales manager. Discussed having her call me in a day or two to see if they came in because they had done an inventory. Went up and paid for a battery charger. When I was in two weeks ago I returned some thing that I paid cash for and was told it I had to have a drivers license in order to get a refund I asked for a gift card I was told no by the cashier named Victor. Yes I get frustrated yesterday that I had but I did not acting anyway it was threatening degrading disrespectful. I turn today to purchase a generator I pay for a battery charger turn around walk out of the store and simply say to this guy Victor I hope you have a good day. He runs out from behind the counter telling me don’t talk to me get out get out get out. As a 64 year-old disabled man on 24 seven with a 8 pound hernia sticking out of my stomach I don’t think that I am up to a physical confrontation with an employee that is totally Out of line. Is the story ends the manager that was not even there two weeks ago and did not know what happened said that my actions are saying I hope you have a good day was harassing his employee and I was banned from the store for life. Wow! All I can tell you is if you get Victor for a cashier my God don’t even look wrong with him. And if corporate let’s just go unchecked I wouldn’t even talk to a harbor freight employee again let alone buy anything...

I went to my local store in Manhattan, KS. One of the very friendly and helpful managers, Valerie, was on duty. When I entered the store, Valerie asked how she could help. I wasn't sure that she would be able to, simply because the warehouse couldn't, not because of any previous experience. (All fantastic) I explained and made my request. Read moreEverything I visit this location I have to return because something doesn't work. The staff including management have no means of replacing an item or making issues like these right. Instead the manager will call you a child and escalate the situation beyond what it needs to be. I called the Topeka store and spoke to Bill, who was awesome and promptly resolved my issue with no further incidents!! Stay away from Manhatten location and buy online or at competent locations. Topeka has always made things easy!
Side note, the manager there is a qualified mental health expert according to him, so if you need tools and a diagnosis of the brain...
