151 Coffee — Restaurant in Manhattan

The drinks are AMAZING! 75% of the time at least. Which is a lot. Not enough though. The consistency on drinks is just not good. Three days at the same time I got the same drink and each day they looked and tasted vastly different, like I had ordered whole new menu item each day. I came here a lot for the first few months of open but ever since all the people from Texas and Lawrence left, customer service pretty much left with it. It is actually painful to pull up to this establishment. It’s easy for me to want to get a drink in the morning but I’ve gotten to the point where I have to decide if I want to be uncomfortable and disappointed 1st thing in the morning too. About 80% or more of the staff is just….. uncomfortable/fake/awkward/passive aggressive. It’s like the only ones that know how to work customer service are a few of the people running the actual drinks out. (But oh my god stop giving us straws, please ask first, half the time you are all going too fast and the amount of waste from straws is devastating. There are many of us out here with cars full of straws now)

When this place first opened it had the absolute BEST energy, BEST people, even more consistent drinks which is kinda strange but still deeply missed. The girls here now treat it like a hangout spot more than they do work and I regularly feel like I’m inconveniencing them, bothering them, not where I should be. They are also so incredibly awkward. I’m a Gen Z and I was a barista for a couple years. I treat them like humans, I ask how they’re doing, I’m patient, and smile but idk what else to do to make the experience work for me anymore. They’re there for fun and I’d love for them to have fun, but not in place of my business.

I think their coffee is better than Starbucks and Radians but it’s just so uncomfortable to pull up here. You should have fun and like your coworkers, but to this extent? 151 had such good potential. It brakes my heart that it’s simpler the people of our town...

Externally disappointed! This is my second time going there and I was really excited to have a new coffee place in town. The drinks are amazing and the atmosphere is always great. The first time I ordered my card didn’t go through because of “connectivity issues” so they needed to swipe again. (we all know what it feels like to have your card swiped again in fear of being double charged) but we ended up not having any issues. The second time I went on Sunday the 16th I again ordered 2 drinks and I recall the lady telling me that my order was $8 and some change. She swiped my card and we pulled up to the window to receive our drinks. Another lady came out and said that the card didn’t go through and she needed to swipe again. I gave her the card and she comes back to tell me the card is declined (which is weird) so we give her another card where I was charged $8.84. Come to find out I was ALSO charged on my original card that I tried to use for $9.84!!!! So that card that was supposedly declined was actually charged and my other card was also charged. I am also confused on why each payment is different! Did I pay for someone else’s drink? Did someone lie? Idk. I called multiple times and no one answers. Left a voicemail and now here I am writing a bad review in hopes that someone...

Quite pleased with 151 as a new drive-thru coffee option in town. Their service was very good. The attendant who took my order was knowledgeable about the menu and made good recommendations based on my preferences. My coffee was ready quickly and delivered with a smile (not required for good service of course but appreciated nevertheless). At less than $7 for a LARGE latte with FOUR (4) shots of espresso AND nondairy milk it’s an excellent value and much better flavor than Scooters or DD as far as espresso based beverages are concerned. I’ll have to leave another review once I’ve had a regular coffee or cold brew to speak on those. The flavor of their espresso is bolder than you can expect of a standard SB latte but not at all bitter or burnt tasting. I like my coffee a little sweet, but not overpowering the coffee flavor, and smooth. I ordered a large iced cinnamon dolce latte and am more than satisfied with it. Especially for a shop that’s been open for only a week they are doing great work.
