CUSTOMER SERVICE REVIEW FOR CLOSING CREW ON 04/30/2019: An average Tuesday night both me and my daughter's day done. WHAT'S FOR DINNER? OG since Noodles closed at 9. We were on K18 at 9:30 PM. We order online and pay ($21.00). DINNER:ACCOMPLISHED, or so I thought as driving. The order complete, we noticed the day to pick it up was the following day. My 16 year old daughter (she had just finished her shift at work) called and told them we were en route. Unsure if the female that answered the phone at OG was a hostess or waiter, she stated we could get it IF we were there in 9 minutes. (Bad customer service). Okay. It's a deadline. As we drove down Tuttle Creek Boulevard, traffic was minimal. We stopped at the red light to turn left to the roundabout that led to OG's parking lot, calling to tell them we were there. The phone was answered by a female staff member, who said to hang on. Erika, I assume is a manager, took the phone from the staff member and stated once the doors are locked, they aren't allowed to unlock them for safety reasons. DINNER:FAILED I asked her what possible safety hazard there was for getting an order to the customer if order was placed before closing time. (What if we had been in house guests who walked in at 9:30? How would they have denied our meal then?) She kept making excuses about safety first as we pulled in front of their door. I told Erika as they were locking their doors, we were probably stuck at the light. Longer story made short, the order was placed before closing time, we were in their parking lot at 10:01 by my car clock, my watch AND cell phone's clock just not in store at their clock's closing time. If that night's OG crew only knew that they are, I mean, WERE a go-to for my 4 person family on take-out nights since I work in Manhattan (average twice a month $70-$100 per meal), they might have chosen differently for OG's BOTTOM LINE. **They also were a go-to for big table gatherings for dining in and smaller two guest occasions.
NOTE TO THE ABOVE STATED STAFF IF YOU READ THIS AND ANYONE INTERESTED IN DEVELOPING GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE: The bottom line is ALWAYS important. You don't give customers a deadline with no wiggle room. How many hours do you work for $100? While last night's bill was $20, OG has lost our business now ( -$200 a month for take-out, plus dining in amount) Would that have paid for last night's crew's hourly pay? BOTTOM LINE PERSPECTIVE.
I have worked in food service, customer service and management for a few decades. I understand closing time procedures. I also understand IF they had made the order, they would not have locked the doors at 10:00 PM. I have also been a guest and put their service to the test VERY LITTLE for decades. THIS experience, after traveling 40 wasted miles round trip, no food on an average Tuesday night for me working out of town/being on the road all day and my daughter being in school all day and working all evening, all we are left with are hungry bellies and a bad taste in our mouths for...
Read moreMy husband and I went here for my birthday dinner last night and we left disappointed and upset. We ended up spending $80 to eat here and we have never spent that much for the 2 of us to go out to eat. Getting seated didn’t take long, but ended up waiting an hour for our food only to receive it barely even warm. It wasn’t that busy.. Service was okay, though our server seemed like she really didn’t want us being there. My husband and I both order alcohol drinks, which I never received mine until 20 minutes after my husband had already finished his. Don’t recommend asking for marinara with your breadsticks, it was $4 for about 2oz of it. I had ordered the shrimp alfredo, not only was it barely warm but it tasted like someone just dumped a bunch of heavy cream on top of pasta. It was very bland and had absolutely no flavor to it. My husband said his food tasted okay (he ordered the chicken margarita dish), but he also said the broccoli that came with it tasted better than the chicken. Paid $20 for each entree for pretty small portions. We enjoyed our salad more than the rest of our food. We were so disappointed and upset that we barely ate our food and just took it home because we didn’t want to stay any longer. It wasn’t that great of an experience for us as all the reviews said it would be.. It also didn’t make sense that what little we ordered added up to $80. In our opinion it was over priced and over hyped. It was a very disappointing...
Read moreI visited Olive Garden on 12/16/17 with my parents who are visiting from Pakistan. We are devout Muslims and do not eat any chicken or meat that is not zabiha. Needless to say, we ordered only seafood options at Olive Garden. We specifically told the server that we did not want any chicken or meat in our food. However, when we received our order one of our dishes had chicken in it. We returned it and mentioned again that we did not want the chicken. By the time the dish arrived we were already full from the two dishes which and arrived earlier so we decided to get the food packed instead. The server reassured us that there was no chicken in our food because that is what the kitchen people had told her. Upon coming home, the next day when we ate the food there were small pieces of chicken in our dish. Clearly, the kitchen people forgot to remove the small pieces of chicken from the dish they had served earlier I state of recoding the entire thing. This is extremely disappointing from Olive Garden because this was my first ever visit and also with my parents who are so careful about what they eat. I'm extremely disappointed with Olive Gardens service and their lack of respect for other people's religions. Restaurants like Olive Garden should give better customer service so that people would want to go there again and not have to throw away food which...
