This review is to hopefully help others determine their decision to do business here.
I was helped by just about everyone that works at the Maple Grove location. They've got some young bucks learning the way, but I believe the Manager "Michael", and Assistant Manager "Kevin" are well mannered and work tirelessly to keep the wheels at this location spinning.
Like much of the world, this location is training and rebuilding its staff. I'm not sure if other reviewers are aware that there tend to be "seasons" in which the flow of traffic in the store greatly increases (Prom/Weddings/etc.) demand on the staff. If you tend to wait until the last minute such as a Friday after 4pm or a Saturday, yeah its going to be busy. Stop being stupid.
I originally went in for a fitting on a Saturday, yes, it was busy and I had about a 15-20 min wait. I was greeted as I entered, and was notified that someone would be with me as soon as available. It's BEAUTIFUL in there, very clean, plenty to look through besides just suit jackets and pants. They've got robes, sweat pants, socks, pocket squares, ties, vests, men's personal hygiene products, etc. Plenty to review while burning out a short-mid wait. The MG location is also situated in a large business complex. Go walk around and get a Crumbl cookie.
Once it was my turn, I was measured and all the details were adequately explained to me. The measurements by a new hire were perfectly accurate, but there was a bit of a delay with the new hires familiarity with MW's internal systems along with the complexity of my order. I'm talking, 10 mins extra for the new hire to be assisted by a more senior rep. It was really a minuscule issue in the Grand Scheme. Despite the new hire's experience, I think they're hiring delightful fellas who can at least "buy" time with good conversation. As my order was completed, I was given a timetable on how quick my outfit would be ready for me to return for the "final fitting".
Went in last night (Tuesday evening) for the final fitting. It was slow and the tailor was onsite so my fitting was literally completed in 30 mins (From walking in, to initial review by both the tailor and staff and after an alteration).
Maybe I'm just lucky, OR it turns out if you just treat the people that work there with respect and dignity, it would appear that your experience will be as...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe came here tonight for a fitting for our upcoming wedding. We had a great experience. I appreciate the walk in service because we were able to come at a time that was convenient for us and also our wedding party whenever they find time to come in.
The young gentleman helping my father, fiancĆ©, and I, did a great job multitasking and helping other guests while still being attentive to us. It was busier tonight, and the staff still made it enjoyable for us. They were able to get all the measurements properly, helped change our colors around (since Iām indecisive), and never gave us a hard time. We actually had a few different staff members help us and it was nice to have multiple people showing their opinions and helping one another out.
The manager knows what he is doing. I would trust him to give his expert opinion over other places. He is reasonable, down to earth, and genuinely seems to care.
Iāve read some of the other reviews and most people seem annoyed that they arenāt getting 1:1 attention. You will get the attention you need, but you need to have patience and have the expectation that youāre not going to be the one and only customer. People are preparing for weddings, funerals, special events, getting fitted, returning items, picking up items, coming in large groups, small groups, etc. I donāt think itās fair to get angry at a company because a customer wants the attention right then and there. You will get the attention, you just need to give a little grace and let the employees breathe a bit.
Overall, I like this location and Iām happy they are going to be apart of our...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI don't typically write reviews, but felt my experience should be shared to help others in their men's clothing options. I had an incredibly poor experience with Men's Warehouse. I had selected them to do the suit(s) for my wedding. I had a good experience with my fitting, paid the agreed upon price with the store, and communicated the suit information to my groomsmen. When the next groomsman went in to get fitted, the store told them they would not honor the price I had gotten. I had to go in the following day to discuss with the manager who ultimately said there was no way they could honor the price, and had to negotiate to come up with a new (increased) price for the package - this was not fun to communicate to the rest of the groomsmen. After this, just about all of my 7 groomsmen had some sort of issue with their order. Stores tried to make two of them pay extra for the tie (which was included in the package), one groomsman did not receive his shirt (which was included in the package), they completely did not have one of the groomsman's information in their system (which was all communicated during my initial fitting), and one received the wrong colored shirt and had to re-order. Men's Warehouse caused me a lot of frustration, wasted time, and several headaches leading up to my wedding day. It is not my hope to bash a place unnecessarily, or to rag on employees. I just hope that if someone reading this is thinking about utilizing Men's Warehouse for their special event, they'll take this into account, and strongly consider going...
