Villas By The Cove — Local services in Maui

Absolutely perfect in every way! Our family all gathered in Maui for my sons wedding and we reserved all 9 villas at Villas by the Cove. We loved the photos online and communication with the manager was excellent but when we got there everything was above and beyond expectations. We were a group of all ages. Families with young children, great grandparents, young couples and older adults. The location was amazing. The villas are within walking distance to everything., The park, Charlie Young beach, restaurants and shopping....oh and surfing! The villas gave everyone their own space while the layout around the pool and pavilion allowed easy group gatherings. We used the communal area to barbecue and have dinner many evenings There was nothing that wasn’t supplied. Each villa had its own beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, boogie boards and surf boards, and paddle boards were available for everyone’s use! The landscaping and decor was just gorgeous! If we had a need management took care of it immediately. They were on site everyday and were available quickly by phone or text! We had stayed at a huge resort a few days before arriving in Kihei and so much preferred the privacy and down home atmosphere at Villas by the Cove And nothing was “extra”. The value was great. We highly recommend Villas...

We loved these villas! We stayed w our 11 1/2 year old twins in villa 8 for a week. The architecture is beautiful. The pool is a few steps from the villa and the beach for surfing/swimming is just across the street. Each unit has their own beach chairs, boogie boards, and towels. There is free access to paddle boards and again it’s just across the street to jump in the water. . We rented 2 surf boards and they were delivered to our villa. Loved the inside too! The king size bed was extremely comfortable and our twins slept on the pull out couch. Bedding awesome too. Great shower w a very cool large pebbled tile floor and shower... I want it in my bathroom at home now. Kitchen has everything you need to cook and we used the bbq in the pavilion area on several occasions. Grand metal bulb lights hang from the center pavilion making the environment magical. I can’t say enough except I wish I was staying another week! The host “Seagul” was very kind and helpful and Nate provided us w tips for snorkeling/surfing —-both very approachable and knowledgeable of the area! We’ll be back....next time we’ll stay longer. ...

Update: the owner has agreed to offer full credit for a future stay. This is all we could ask given the circumstances. I am hoping that when the time comes to re-book and that we stay at the resort that we can leave a favourable review. BEWARE: rigid owner policy. Despite multiple pleas from us and VRBO on our behalf, the owner will not budge. The border is closed due to COVID-19 and we could not even travel if we wanted to. Asked for a credit for a future stay and they also refused. I understand that many businesses are affected right now. It's awful. But no credit for future stay and charging us a $115 cleaning fee + tax for a place we can't stay in is despicable. My ask if you are reading this is to pass on this one and look for another property in Maui to stay. Maui is a beautiful place with so many kind people that I have met and amazing places to eat. If the owners do refund the cleaning fee or any portion of this stay I will donate every dollar to the Red Cross.
