I personally couldn't think of a better location to enjoy my Maui vacation! This is one of the older resorts in Kihei (Key-hay), so I didn't expect pristine glitz. I was very comfortable with the layout and furnishings of our condo. The SPECTACULAR feature of Kamaole Beach Club is the unsurpassed convenient location! The beach access is right across S. Kihei Rd and using the controlled intersection for pedestrians, you can be in the ocean in 10 minutes or less. Walking 1 to 3 blocks in either direction along S. Kihei Rd will get you every store, service, cafe, restaurant, and tour/equipment rental shop you can imagine. Literally dozens of some of Maui's best rated businesses. 2 bedroom units are upstairs, separate entrances with no elevators. There is a beautiful pool on site. The office staff was friendly and helpful. For smokers, vapers there is a covered spot in the parking lot.

I hated it. No central air conditioning not a clean place to stay. They had a portable air conditioner in the living room very noisy can't sleep at night with the heat and the noise. The rest of the rooms have no air conditioning just fans that throw hot air. Shower had hair on the walls, refrigerator was dirty especially the door handle, all door handles were filthy the walls from the door were dirty, the teapot in the kitchen was rusted in the potatoe peeler in the kitchen was filthy. The pool in the picture does not compare to the pool we saw green pool. My pillowcase had stains on it. The stairway was not vacuumed and you can see hairs hanging on the stairs all the way up. The mirrors were not cleaned I had to clean my own mirrors. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

We have stayed here before rented a timeshare, much hard dismay. We did not realize we were getting a different unit a couple years ago when we stayed here or our unit was perfect right across from the ocean this time they placed us near the pool so it was a little louder because not only were we near the pool. We were also right next to The Texaco gas station and ABC store to which there was constant car noise and not to mention landscapers trash people early in the morning, you would think they are supposed to abide by the quiet hours, but that doesn’t happen so we were very unhappy this time, but we love Maui, and had a good time at the ocean and other places we enjoyed.

First let me give you some background info. My wife and I are in our early 70's.|We live in California, but are no stingers to Maui, and have been to all the Hawaiian Islands several times for for the past 35 years. We feel we are fairly good judges of what people are seeking so we would like to share our experiences with the Kamale Beach Club. Our visit was from 4 20 24 to 4/27|24. Weather was low 80's in the days and mid to high 60' in the evening with little to no rain... (perfect)! Ok so what are we looking for when going to the islands? First of all location location... Right? Well I have to say KBC (Kamaole Beach Club) fits this request perfectly! From our lanai I could throw a rock to the ocean... really! You are basically a few 100 feet to the water. So yes ocean view is real! Everything conveniently located. Ok now for the grounds and the condition of the buildings. The KBC scores a 5 star rating here also. The grounds are impeccable! In fact one morning I saw tourist taking pictures of the flowers on the property... Yes it is that nice! The buildings are older say late 60's but are well painted and NO bugs!! Now this was impressive! Except for a few Geckos running around no bugs... not even a fly or mosquito. Ok now we drive up to the office which is in the parking lot of the property. The office is extremely small with only a sliding door as an entry.|You would think the office personal would be grumpy working in such a small cramped space but, what we found was exactly the opposite. Suzie and Patti were amazingly friendly and helpful to all our questions and needs. In fact we were in need of a small ice chest to take with us to drive the road to Hana and Suzie loaned us her own personal one. Now who does that? Amazing service!|Ok now for my next request... Parking!! The parking is FREE!! And we parked maybe 20 steps from our front door. Now I don't know about you but my wife uses every bit of the 50lbs limit the airlines gives you and of course she makes sure my suitcase has to equal hers... so that short walk sure was nice. We were on the first floor so you guys on the upper floors be aware there are no elevators. The locks/keys are the old paddle type but they give you a lock box on your door incase you lose your key or lock yourself out. This was a nice idea. The rooms are spacious as most of the older building are of that era, but be aware there is no central AC. At least in our room. You do have two AC portable units. One in the bedroom and one in the living room. Honestly we did not use them for we were gone most of the days. When we were in we just left the front door open (there is a heavy duty screen door) and the back patio door open. The way the buildings are situated the ocean breeze sweeps through the rooms keeping things nice and comfy. There are also quiet decorative ceiling fans in each one of those rooms to move the air. Speaking about quiet we did not hear other guest. You know the ones slamming the doors at 2am of kids running ramped past your door. This place was amazingly quiet. The water pressure (another pet peeve coming from CA) was plentiful with lots of pressure and you have your own hot water tank! The furnishing along with dishes and cookware were aged but serviceable and, a full size new refrigerator/ ice maker made it nice to stock it up for the week.|Now I did read other reviews and people if you are going to give this wonderful beach front (cottage) the white glove test it is most likely going to fail by your standards. Leave those gloves at home! This is Maui! Embrace the area, the food, the ocean, and most importantly the people and, have a great time! We totally loved it here and are anxious to return in the...

My husband and I are RCI members and visited the Kamaole Beach Club for one week in April 2023. This is our tenth visit to Maui and have stayed at many different condos and resorts throughout the island. I normally check Tripadvisor before signing off on a condo - however, we have never really had a terrible stay in Hawaii. Some condos have been older units, but still well maintained - we thought we would have a similar experience staying at the Kamaole Beach Club. We were wrong!|I can honestly say, this has to be the absolute worst place I have ever stayed at in my entire life! It was a struggle to find any clean well-maintained areas in the condo. |Location: The Kamaole Beach Club is located halfway down the main Kihei Rd. It is a small complex compared to most places in Maui. Most of the units face the road and across the road is a beach. There is restaurants, gas station and an ABC store next door to the condo.||Beach: The beach across the street is not one of the main public Kamaole beaches with a lifeguard station. There is a small grass area and a beach - the surf here can often be rough, especially for children.||Pool Area - The pool is at the back of the resort, near the parking lot. The pool is a backyard small - as in one family at a time small. This tiny pool was almost constantly full. The pool area did not look maintained. The pool water looked dirty and greenish. The pool furniture was not comfortable. ||Suite - C102 Our room was near the end of the complex and we had a view of the ABC store and gas station. The room was dark inside - the windows and patio door are covered with bamboo? blinds. Immediately I could tell that the room was dirty. The fridge had food splats on it. The water glass was dirty. When you walk on the floors your feet get filthy. The furniture was old, ripped and dirty looking. The carpeted stairs leading up the bedrooms were stained and moppy looking. The bed linens were dirty, stained and or torn. |We tried using the oven - it immediately started smoking/grease fire - we turned it off. There was no baking sheets. The cooking utensils were either dirty or falling apart. |The window sills had what looked like animal dropping on it. |There were things under our bed - hair tie .|The beds are old, mattress are old and have gross hair/dust hanging on them. |There was a guitar pick and dirt under the living room carpet.|Honestly, I could go on and on and on...everything was bad.|The only way to save this place is to do a complete renovation and a deep thorough cleaning.|Temperature of the room - the bedrooms are hot - I bought two big fans from Costco to use in the rooms. The portable AC unit does not cool the room enough. The unit shut down on night - my husband drained the water so we could keep using it - the unit is filthy and covered with dirt. |I did talk to the lady manager Patty. I asked her to take a tour of our room to see the extent of the dirtiness. The manager was not happy about being asked. She told me that she has very high standards and that she has never had a complaint. I know that this is not true because I have read other online reviews of this complex with similar complaints.|The manager did not seem overly upset about all of the dirt that we showed her - she did ask if we wanted the cleaning lady to clean our room - I said no because I wanted to know that the room would not be cleaned thoroughly enough. |If you are thinking of staying...
