If you looked at my previous review, I used to love Orisons. My husband and I shopped there for 12 years, and after yesterday, our trust and loyalty to the store was destroyed.
My husband had bought a gift for his brother, and when I went to pick it up, they no longer had it. They blamed an employee who no longer works there instead of taking responsibility. The employee that was working told me I couldn't wait in the store for the manager, and I needed to come back.
When the manager called me about 20 minutes later, I headed back to the store. She did try to make things right, transferring deposits, credits, and whatnot. I thanked her and picked up my second layaway. I did not check the layaway as I have been shopping here for 12 years with no issues.
When my husband and I unpacked the layaway yesterday evening, we found I was sent home with the wrong necklace. I texted the manager, and she did blame the previous employee, once again not taking responsibility. She then sent me a screenshot showing I never paid for the necklace. When I had been in the store the first time, my final balance was $330, and the necklace was on the layaway. The credits applied added up to a different amount. The manager said that even though I never paid for the necklace, I could keep it as a good faith gesture because of the mess with my brother in laws jacket and my hat disappearing. While I appreciate the gesture, they need to check the POS action log report and see who deleted the necklace. They also need to check the action log to see who either sold or zero out my hat and brother in laws jacket. I've worked on the technical side of the POS industry for almost a decade, so I know that inventory can't just disappear without the reporting recording the changes made.
I also want to bring up that the necklace I received had been on display when I came into the store the first time. That, for me, is a red flag. I don't want to make any accusations but it left a bad taste in my mouth being told to leave and then the necklace in my bag was the one on display yesterday, and not the necklace I had put on layaway. This was also what made me decide i would never give Orisons my business again.
After venting to a friend in the rodeo community they let me know several other regular customers have had issues with this new employee specifically, and that they would not be shopping with Bonnie this year before NFR because of it. It's obvious to me that Bonnie doesn't need mine and my husband's loyalty, business, or for us to spend our money in her store going forward.
I wish Orisons the best but will no longer be spending my money in Bonnie's shop.
Update: My update makes everything worse in my eyes. 15 minutes after my husband left his negative review Lindon left a voicemail that while a man was doing inventory they found the jacket. Considering, per there own instagram account, they were closed for inventory the Tuesday before last whats going on they are already redoing inventory. Hannah then text me the next day she found the jacket. Umm OK, I didn't say anything to Hannah about Lindon inventory guy finding it, I mentioned we were no longer shopping in the store.
In addition no one will acknowledge my receipt was edited and the necklace switched. My original receipt shows the red necklace. The necklace in my bag was the one on display. Instead of acknowledging this I was gaslighted and told that my bag was never touched and that the wrong necklace was boxed up when I made the layaway.
A word of advice to Bonnie and Hannah: you need to investigate what's going on in your store. You need to have Pat pull the POS action log report and review it. You need to stop blaming previous employees and instead take responsibility. Lastly, you may want to pay attention to whats spreading around the rodeo community. The same employees name keeps coming up and not a single good interaction is...
Read moreI have been to Orison’s many times and bought boots from them! I went on Saturday to buy a dress for a wedding, but when I got home I decided that it didn’t fit right and would be too short to handle small children in. I took it back on Thursday the next week and the lady said that it smelled like smoke (which it smells like smoke in the store as it did on Saturday due to the incense they burn). NO ONE in my family smokes ANYTHING so I was a little confused and told her that it could be from the store. When I smelled the dress it didn’t smell like anything (it probably smelled like my house, but rest assured it doesn’t smell like smoke because no one smokes, I mean he even smokes anymore?). She was very rude. I asked her how long the store credit is good for and she said all the return policy rules are on the counter and it didn’t explicitly say how long the STORE CREDIT was good for. It did state that you had to return the item within 45 days of purchase. She spoke to other customers saying she could check them out because she was confused about what I needed. I have never had such poor customer service in the square of at this store. The two ladies that helped me on Saturday were very nice and very helpful. But to say the dressed smelled like smoke and to give attitude was insane to me. I even offered to pull someone from the sidewalk and ask because I am 10000% sure it didn’t smell like smoke. I even offered to show her a picture of the dress that I did wear to the wedding AT the wedding. I am very dissatisfied with how my first return went down...
Read moreThe Wife and I have been shopping here for over 12 years and have nothing but good experience, But just yesterday we went to get a layaway out and they had sold it !! These were gifts for ppl and they just sold them but had out other layaway still? the Little girl there was very cagey and while my wife was waiting for the manager to show up the little girl behind the counter said she couldn’t wait in the store. So my wife left, then came back. trying to make things right the Manager applied credit to the other layaway. which was nice. it was two shirts , boots and a neckless my wife wanted very badly. there was an issue closing out the layaway and printing the receipt that we didn’t get the final receipt like she should have. She got home and was so made about the hat and jacket that was sold out from under us she didn’t check the other layaway. They swapped out the necklace for the wrong one and tried to hide it, My wife contacted the manger but she claims that they don’t have any record of what necklace she put as its not in their system. They Blamed the other employee for the issue. that employee has been there just as long as we have been shopping there and never had an issue. We are very good friends with the employees they just up and fired. My wife sent her a picture of the neckless they gave us and even she said that was not the neckless we picked out, apparently this is a un going issue now with the new little girls. In one transaction they destroyed the trust and loyalty...
