If I could give a zero star today...I certainly would! We have shopped at Macy's for over 20 years, and have always received the very best customer service, until today. We shopped around and picked up a few articles of clothing, one of them was a Tommy Bahama shirt that was on clearance. As we looked at that shirt, we say that it had multiple what appeared to be ink stains all over the shirt. Priced now at 47ish dollars, the shirt really should be priced around 10 to 15 dollars considering the damage. We went to the check out desk and asked to speak with a manager so that we could possibly get a better price..in honesty, the shirt should have been sent back to the manufacture, but if I could get it for $10 I could put up with it. When the manager arrived, she did not even bother to greet us..she spoke to the employee, avoided eye contact with us, and kept mumbling uh huh...to herself probably 20 times. When she did finally muster up enough courage to look towards me, she said..well...Ill give you 10 percent off. I then said, well that is nice, but this is a damaged item, certainly it should be marked down further than 10 percent wouldnt you agree? Her response was cold, rude and honestly just downright mean...NO...this is already marked down on clearance..again I repeated, yes, this is damaged however...she simply took the shirt and said you obviously dont want it... In all the years, and thousands of dollars I have spent at Macys I have never been treated so rude! I do not lie when I say thousands of dollars spent at Macys...dining room rugs at $10,000...and the list goes on. I am seriously going to have to think about whether or not I will return to Macy's, this level of customer service should not be tolerated, no matter where a person shops. The customer, not Macys is the one who is writing the paycheck for the employee. This goes for anywhere a customer shops...When I spoke yet with another manager about this, there was again no resolve in fact she too acted as if she was not listening to what we had to say. Perhaps this is why Macy's in Medford is struggling to survive in this already crazy...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have NEVER felt so disrespected and straight up judged not once but 3 times within a 10 minute time frame and all by the same lady! Incident #1: As I was browsing the Rings they had on display on the floor a Older Lady whom happens to work at the Macy's in the Rouge Valley Mall walks up to me and rudely says "Just so you are aware NONE of this Jewelry is on clearance." Being as how I was taken back by the rude comment I just smiled and replied back with "Thanks for letting me know." Then I just so happened to check the price of one of the Rings that "wasn't on clearance" and it was only priced for $25. Incident #2: My Friend was looking at some of the Ties they had out on the floor and asked the same Rude Lady, "Is this Tie really $55? Isn't that a little over priced?" Her response was, "Well for classy man it's not over priced at all." Incident 3: Lastly this Employee had the nerve to say "you know you guys can always come back when things are on clearance and more in your price range." Okay straight up I probably have more money on hand then this lady makes working 3 months full time I just so happened to have won a major jackpot at the casino and was looking to spend some decent cash here today but after the HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE my mind was quickly changed I didn't know this was how you guys train your employees but straight up I'm mad about the service I got here and not only threw away the $150 gift card my Mom gifted me for Christmas after walking out this store but decided to not spend any of the $15,000 I had on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe workers at this store are extremely rude and not helpful at all. They make assumptions by your age and appearance. They began to scream at me and a co-worker when we were locked outside the building while on the clock. They began to say how we had attitude when we were only explaining the situation and they wouldn't let us talk. Or explain ourselves. We had proof that we worked within the building as well but they simply threw us out into the freezing weather without any way to contact anyone to let us back in to the building so we could get back to work. I won't be shopping there and I will direct family, friends, and costumers away from their store because of this experience. On top of all of that I deal with a lot of trauma and screaming and yelling is a huge trigger so it took me almost 2 hours to get my body off of fight mode and as I'm writing this now at 12:50am it still causes my trauma to spike up. The workers at this store have no respect or selfawareness to the problems caused by immitate anger. They do not care how they treat other people. I'm 17 and my coworker is 18 while these Macy workers were in their 40s through 50s and they could not have a simple calm conversation. Until something happens to fix this problem I will keep telling everyone not to...
