So my experience with C4G Jewlers in Miami lakes was a little different than the reviews I had read on here. So to begin, NANNY was amazing and would respond to my texts and phone calls at all times and was great at communicating with me prior to placing the order. When I went to the store I tried on several different pieces and finally decided on something. I paid my deposit and had to place an order for the Cuban link chain I wanted. Nanny told me it would be ready in 2 weeks time from the time the order was placed. She also advised there was a service that would expedite the order and would cost an additional $80 and would be ready in a week instead of 2. I figured why pay an extra $80 for 1 week sooner? At the weeks mark I had a last min trip planned and called and asked to see if they would be able to expedite my chain so I could have the chain for the trip. Nanny told me they were unable to help me with that and would have to wait. At the 2 weeks mark, I called and was told that the chain would be ready in 3 weeks instead of 2 and that they give an approximate time of 2-3 weeks. (Manager at Miami lakes store) she was extremely rude and did not listen to my concerns or what I was explaining to her. She then told me I would need to wait another week to get the piece.
Finally 2 weeks and 6 days later, didn’t make the full 3 weeks. The chain arrived at the store and I was contacted to go pick it up.
When I arrived at the store, I was given an extra balance for the chain because it weighed 10.4 grams more than what I had ordered plus it was also 2MM larger than what I had originally ordered. I was already upset with the situation leading up to getting the chain so I just paid the difference and left the store with a piece that I was not completely satisfied with. I should have said something but again I was already upset with the way I was treated by the manager at the store when I called Saturday afternoon so I left.
All in all the chain is GREAT QUALITY and looks great. But I am not satisfied with the customer service I was given nor the fact that the chain I ordered came bigger and more expensive than what I originally ordered.
I believe there was some type of miscommunication between Nanny, the store, and I somewhere along the way. For that I cannot give them 5 stars and I am giving 3 stars because the quality of the chain is very high and the chain...
Read moreHonestly, I was very excited to get my chain. When it arrived, 14k 121g I was very happy until I realized there was no 14k stamp. To my amazement the staff told me it doesn’t matter. I offered my own solution, I’ll find a jeweler to verify the piece is in fact 100% real 14k get a 14k stamp and C4G can reimburse me for that cost. Everyone agreed.
I took the necklace in to the most reputable shop in my area Bellevue WA. Upon taking this C4G piece in, the jeweler held the necklace under a very bright light and magnifying glass, and he pointed out fine file scratches, running parallel to the Cuban links from clasp to clasp. This is indicative of filing marks by the jeweler that created the piece. Also, he determined that the chain has been coded in a yellow gold. Is Tint coating. Which C4G did in fact confirm after I called to ask. I was unaware that C4G chains are coated. Weird. I would have never requested that. I was told the yellow coating would wear off over time.
The jeweler did solution test the C4G necklace but they refused to give me an official 14k stamp until they further test by scratching and sampling. I refused this service as it was too invasive. I was instructed by C4G to find a jeweler that does XRF testing… I’ve called 13 different jewelers trying to find someone that has a XRF gun. Harder than it seems. I found one place 20mins from my area… he does not offer a 14k stamp service tho… imagine that.
Needless to say, I’ve put a lot of time and work into trying to correct a problem caused by OR overlooked by C4G.
I called today, the lady like the last 5 associates have taken my number and said they’d call me back.
So far the solution I was givin was to pay the $300 and ship it back for them to add the stamp they forgot. I was just told by C4G that whatever jeweler I took for to get “solution tested” are the ones responsible for the file scratches. Unfortunately, that’s not true as the scratches or pointed out to me by the jeweler before the solution test was performed. Also, I would’ve never had to get my chain solution tested had it been stamped 14 karat by cash 4 gold upon sale. ITS PIECE OF MIND PEOPLE!
