I'm giving 2 stars because food was ok. I have worked in a restaurant before so I know what to expect on busy day, so I'm generally very patient and do not complain, but today has been a bad experience for me and I'm not coming back. The server's attitude was the worst. I can understand that is not her fault how fast or slow the food is goin to be ready, but she's the one who prepares the drinks/coffees. I went twice to ask her for my coffee and the second time instead of take a couple of minutes (literally 2) to make my coffee, she started to clean her orange juice machine. I asked her again thinking she forgot about it. She just said she would like to have more hands and kept cleaning the machine. After that, she made the coffee and gave it to me with the worst attitude and gave me her back. The coffee wasn't the one I wanted and she got mad. Maybe she thought I wasn't leaving a tip??? I don't know. I usually Leave good tips, but today I didn't leave any. Sorry. I just asked for the check and left. And Yes! I paid...
Read moreWent on May 10th at 8pm and ordered 2 platters. One had Vaca Frita with Rice, other Ropa Vieja. Got home and wife had the Vaca Frita. Ropa Vieja was Ok but bland. I tried Vaca Frita but it smelled a little off. Put leftovers in fridge. In the morning, wife woke up with bad diarrhea and nausea. I smelled the Vaca Frita from the fridge and it smelled rotten. These people leave the meat out too long without heat and it spoiled. By 8pm, it was already bad and they still sold it to us. We called the business in the morning to let them know and they were pretty rude. Not only are they rude when they serve you but if you have a concern, they blame you. We took the platter back in the morning, so they could smell it. We got a new one but they made us feel like it was our fault. Meat shouldn't smell rotten, not even the next day. Especially, Vaca Frita which is dry. I wouldn't recommend this place. NOT ONLY overpriced, $14.49 per platter but Spoiled Food and Bad Personal Skills. READ other reviews (Overpriced...
Read moreI'm new in the area & was looking for a place for lunch on Friday about 12 noon. Cruising around the strip centers on 186 st & 77th ave I stopped at this restaurant. They have a large buffet with plenty of offerings, but no description of any dish(Spanish or English). There was only one other customer ordering but I was ignored by the servers behind the counter. I then asked what is this dish? or what is that dish? in Spanish & English! Very stupid responses! Then I saw a lamb dish & asked how much is it? The lady said, "it depends,"! I answered, 'depends on what"? She walked away & returned & said $16.99! Well, that is more expensive than other like Cuban take-out restaurants! Remembering there's no prices on anything! That's a Red flag when a cafeteria or buffet doesn't post prices or descriptions of the dishes! I left and had a nice lunch at a Columbian restaurant with respectful employees who spoke English...
