Splurge Juice Bar & Cafe — Restaurant in Miami Lakes

Update: I’ve been back numerous times since my initial visit 7 months ago and I must say I have seen a great improvement in their level of service. They’ve gone as far as bringing the takeout food to my car while I waited outside. For this reason I’m changing my initial 3 stars to a 5. I have a huge level of respect for businesses who strive for customer satisfaction, especially since I am a Customer Service instructor. The chipotle burger has become my favorite item on the menu as well as their lentil soup.

Food was good. My party of 3 ordered different plates from the menu. I was the only one who was completely satisfied with the taste (chipotle burger). Customer service can afford to improve greatly. Maybe they were overwhelmed, maybe they didn’t want to be there, maybe they haven’t received formal customer service training; at the end of the day it isn’t the customer’s fault. In addition it would be nice if they had a little more knowledge of their products. When asked if their vegan cupcakes were gluten-free, the girl shrugged and said “I think so”... and that was the end of that; no initiative to find out the answer. Dont let their name confuse you... It's way more than just Juice they are serving at Splurge! Okay okay I have to admit I fell in love with their Vegan Tacos!!! Honestly it's not my fault its sooo yummy! Cooked straight on the flat top with yummy homemade cheese and proteins! Their prices are crazy affordable and their food!!! Wow! Its like Abuela made their Lentil Soup! We found this gem after a terrible experience at a fancy Vegan spot that left a sour taste but Splurge you redeemed us and our taste buds!!! Go for the food stay for the company got to meet the Owner and his beautiful Mom and partner on our multiple visits. We definitely love their food and of course their Juices were delicious!!! Came here over a weekend and nobody was inside. The help was decent and patient as they were out of beans & tofu scramble that day. We had to figure out what we can get that didn’t include black beans. Decided to get the veggie wrap and vegan taco. The veggie wrap, the kale overwhelmed the wrap to the point where I hated eating it. But, I was told that the amount of kale could easily make the wrap bitter. So, it could’ve been my fault that I ordered that. To drink, I got a pink dragon, it mainly tasted like banana.

My friend built his own bowl and enjoyed the lentils. He seemed to had a better time with his food than I did.
