Itâs taken me 2 yrs to write this. Candice posted a drawing to âwinâ a free session on IG with her and her makeup artist. I contacted her to get more details. I would be driving across the state of FL and I would be staying the night in a hotel. I wanted to be very clear about the cost of the whole trip, I had a funny feeling that winning this âfreeâ session I had to ask more fine print questions. She assured me that the prices varied and she had âlow cost packages.â I read her website and watched her video on how to prepare for the shoot. Her website said that she would have a preseason to help me get a good idea on what clothing to bring. She never did this with me. She just told me to bring what ever I wanted. Iâve never done anything like this before and I couldâve used the help. Once I was there she had me waiting in her lobby for at least 30-45 mins. She called me up to her home/studio and it was only she makeup artist, because she was out shopping for mimosas. She wasnât prepared. She served me old champagne. I thought what ever, Iâm so nervous Iâll take it. Her makeup artist left and we got started. She played some music in the background, cool get in the groove.... but it was the same 3 songs over and over. No biggy, just annoying after awhile. I showed her what I brought and we really didnât even use 3/4 of the clothing I brought. I wasnât prepared. We started shooting and I noticed that she kept checking her phone. She excused herself a few times to hold a conversation in another room. She came back to me in tears because she was frustrated with something that was happening with her stepson. I had shared with her that I was a teacher and I tried my best to console her, ease her anxiety. She asked if I was ok with her fiancĂ© to come home to pick up a change of clothes for her stepson. I was then done. I was understanding of what was happening but I felt it was so unprofessional. I was half naked in someoneâs home and her fiancĂ© needed to come over?!? I also noticed that she was present, she kept checking her pintrist for ideas and poses. I was not comfortable and felt defeated and that the whole trip was a waste. The shoot was over and I went down stairs to call my husband and eat some lunch. I came back up and she told me her digital equipment wasnât working so she couldnât show me the pics like she normally does. I picked a few of my fav pics and she told me the amount and I was floored!!!! Now I found her package fees. I didnât appreciate that she couldnât share that with me before I went thru this hassle. Oh well, I was there and might as well see whatâs up. I spent far too much money for such an unprofessional embarrassing trip. I literally left her consoling and hugging her so we could get thru the shoot. I am ashamed I was tricked into a free shoot and I didnât demand the package pricing and that I never spoke up to tell her how unsatisfied I was with everything. I finally got another photographer to do a boudoir shot and I couldnât put into words how different the whole experience was. Iâm sure Candice was having an off day, her work looks great, but I wanted to share my experience Incase someone has the...
Read moreThis was the worst photoshoot experience I have ever had â and Iâve done many professional photoshoots before (for my MBA graduation, my recent law school graduation, and birthdays). I know what professional service looks like, and this was the complete opposite.
From the beginning, both the photographer and the makeup artist asked me invasive personal questions that felt more like an interrogation than a conversation â my age, nationality, marital status, where I live, my profession, and even if I had a boyfriend. Once I revealed my nationality, their behavior changed, and I felt treated with prejudice and discrimination.
The makeup was terrible, making me look older â the worst Iâve ever had. When the makeup was finished, I looked in the mirror and was shocked; I told her it was very different from all the makeup I had ever had before. I went to the restroom to collect myself, and when I came back, she had already left without saying goodbye. This left me no chance to have the makeup redone and was extremely unprofessional.
During the shoot, I was rushed, not given enough time to pose, my requested pose was ignored, the shoes I asked for were not provided, and the photographer showed zero care to adjust my clothing. Because of that, many photos exposed my nipples, leaving me with almost no usable pictures.
When I complained, she showed no concern and offered no solution. Instead, she insisted the fee was non-refundable. I had purchased the most expensive package ($1,748) and ended up with the worst photos Iâve ever had. I disputed $1,548 with my credit card company, but she still kept $200. She only acknowledged my complaints after being contacted by the credit card company.
The session was supposed to go until 3 PM, but by 1 PM I was already leaving. On my way out, she told me to âgo back from where I came,â which I found deeply offensive and discriminatory.
To make things worse, instead of handling the situation professionally, she told me she would âopen a claim in courtâ and threatened to use my photos as proof â clearly only to intimidate me. I had been very clear from the beginning that I did not want my photos used on her social media or for any kind of publicity, because I am a lawyer and value discretion due to my profession. The photos were meant to remain private as a birthday gift, and her threats were completely inappropriate and unprofessional.
Overall, this was an unprofessional, careless, and discriminatory experience. I left feeling disrespected, mistreated, and even threatened. I would strongly warn others to avoid this photographer...
Read moreI've done 2 boudoir shoots with Sexy Serendipity and what an experience. On my first one I wasn't in great shape and was a bit insecure about my body and what to expect. It was my first shoot EVER so I was nervous. I answer a form with questions for her about what I wanted but wasn't expecting much to come out of it, she even asked about music taste. Well, I was pleasantly surprised when I got to her studio! Candice was super warm and welcoming, she had mimosas and fruit to munch on while getting ready and guess what? My favorite music was playing in the background!!! I immediately felt at ease. Her sister did my makeup, she's awesome and super professional. It was just so enjoyable, like girls time with your besties. Then we started shooting... Can I say AMAZING? She directed every pose, from where to put your hands, to how to arch your body, how to relax your face, etc! We even tried a couple of fun shots jumping on the bed. The pics came up SO GOOD! I couldn't decide on what to pic, I looked like this super sexy and fierce version of me! Is that how the world sees me? Yes, the pictures were insane and I was so happy but what made this so incredibly amazing is that she focuses on the experience which makes each shot even more spectacular! The second shoot was a beach fun and probably my favorite pics of all time! again makeup and posing was flawless and I have over 70 incredible pics because her editing is spotless. I can't recommend this girl highly enough and I am so looking forward to another boudoir and if I ever get married guess who's shooting my wedding???...
