I have gone to Fabian for many years. He did a great job on the haircut as always. However, this review is about hair coloring. i am very disappointed while writing this review with pain and sensitivity in my head, the after effect of the coloring experience. Despite the chaotic experience of hair coloring yesterday by a lady, which I literally spent 4.5 hours there because she didn’t get the color right. She test-dyed on one part of my hair aiming to get the color right, but still needed to re-dyed my full hair 3 times because she didn’t get the color right. I expressed pain and sensitivity on my scalp to the lady after so many times coloring, but the real issue surfaces after the hair dye - causing nerve pain that didn’t go away even on the next day. Fabian explained that you should not wash your hair before a hair dye as it’s very bad for your scalp, but that’s exactly what she did with the repeated coloring, and coloring your scalp while your hairs are wet. They further explained they need to dye it a few times because I have three layers of coloring on my hair (grey hair, original hair, and old dye). The explanation of needing to dye that many times is an excuse for the mistakes. Never in my past experience needing to dye your hair that many times despite some grey hair. In addition, there is only 4 inches of my old color remained that very bottom of my hair, which at the end was trimmed away. After the 3rd time of hair coloring, my grey hairs are still visible. I never ever had anyone needing to re-dye my hair that many times. The grey hairs really were not the issue, as I don’t mind some visibility of it. The problem was re-dyeing my hairs too many times, and color was much lighter than what I wanted. (This happened even after they test-dyed a portion of my hair). And a bigger problem is the nerve pain that caused by repeated coloring and chemical used on my hair. I recently visited this nail salon for a gel pedicure, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. Yesterday I called ahead and was told to come in an hour. After waiting at work, I arrived on time but ended up waiting an additional hour in the salon. While I understand it was late, I even offered to return the next day, but the staff insisted on proceeding. During the pedicure, the technician was visibly distracted, talking to someone on the phone the entire time. This lack of focus resulted in rushed, careless work. The polish was uneven, painted over my cuticles, and the overall attention to detail was poor. Despite my reservations, I decided not to be overly critical at the time and tipped generously (20%). However, the real issue surfaced the next morning: after my shower, half of the polish had already peeled off one of my toes. A gel pedicure not lasting even a single day is unacceptable, especially given the $70 | paid (including tip). This was hands down the worst pedicure I've ever received.
