My first facial ever and unfortunately it was not a great experience. I was gifted as a Mother’s Day gift the BB Glow and European facial treatment. My appointment was at 4:30 and I arrived at 4:26. My treatment was supposed to last 1 hour and I was done by 5:00. I was also shocked there was no questionnaire form to be filled out regarding my skin health and concerns. It felt extremely rushed and not very relaxed. I bought it to their attention and Evelyn that did my facial tried saying I arrived early and before my time in which I only arrived 4 minutes before my actual booked time. To compensate they scheduled me another facial only for the esthetician to text me the next day saying she’ll do a 20 minute mask treatment since that’s the time I missed out on. I feel like I was robbed of my experience. I mentioned that my expectations were a little different and I was expecting a traditional facial. She then explained they don’t use steam which ok, I understand. She then explained she did what she thought was best for my skin and did special treatments. There was for sure a lack of communication and the Groupon is very misleading as well. It mentions it includes things like a detox juice, a sauna, and other amenities which were never offered to me upon arrival. I also mentioned I expected a shoulder massage in which she said she didn’t give it to me because she didn’t want to apply vitamin C on my eczema, which was confusing to me because she had asked me if I had a skin care regimen in which I responded I do, and it included vitamin C. It was very anticlimactic and super disappointing. I will never come back here again I am beyond upset and our money went to waste. Maya however is awesome. I’m writing to share feedback regarding my husband’s recent visit to your spa, which I booked as a special birthday gift. Unfortunately, the overall experience did not meet the level of service we expected, especially considering the $199 package.

Here are the specific concerns from his visit:

The massage therapist did not speak English, which made it difficult to communicate needs or preferences.

There was no consultation to ask what areas to focus on or avoid during the massage.

During the facial, there was no explanation of what to expect. The machine used was loud and sounded as though it was not functioning properly.

There were people walking in and out of the room during the session, which was disruptive and uncomfortable. On top of that, he was initially placed in the wrong room and had to be moved after getting undressed.

The “sauna” was not heated adequately — he didn’t break a sweat at all, which defeated the purpose of that portion of the experience.

At a professional massage facility, there’s an expectation that the client is walked through each service, explaining the process and the benefits, but this courtesy was never provided.

This was meant to be a relaxing and enjoyable gift, but instead, it left him feeling uncomfortable and disappointed. Given these issues, I feel the service we paid for was not delivered as promised and now I am forced to wait to hear back from Groupon...

We are from out of town, here in Miami for vacation. We booked the 60 min couple massage, a hydra-peel facial and reflexology. The place is clean, staff very warm and pleasant. The massage tho, boy—it was too harsh. It being our first couple massage experience we were unsure of what to expect. Knew to advocate and I did— but I must admit, in my befuddlement, I may waited 10 min too long, and damage was done. Everywhere else afterwards felt great but she went in on my shoulder blades for too long and too strong prior to me saying something. So much so that I actually discovered a black and blue bruise the next day.
