Blackbird Ordinary — Restaurant in Miami

First let me say I am a girl this is my husbands account. My name is Melissa ! I wish I could put no stars to be honest. This used to be my all time favorite spot to go to on Tuesday nights for ladies night. But lately I've started to catch a couple things from this place that annoy me a bit. So here's the thing if you are not a man you will not get treated right. Here's my story, It was last Tuesday I walked in expecting my last experience to simply have been a misunderstanding. I walk to the outside bar and at this time I didn't quite want to drink yet so I ask the really skinny kind of rocker chick outside if she could 'PLEASE' give me a cup of water for me and my friend (girl also) and she literally looks at me and tells me ' are you serious ? Not right now.. I have to take care of these guys that are actually going to pay me'. I have never been so shocked in my life. She didn't even realized that I had 2$ in my hand to give her FOR WATER! I don't understand what it is with these bartenders that work here. Every Tuesday I have a different story. And somehow it's always with this lady. She's extremely rude to all the girls ( I've seen it happen to other girls btw). She only takes care of MEN because 'we aren't paying for our drinks'. It's ladies night what does she expect ? The worst thing about it is that I never go to this place without actually having at least a dollar for every drink I get. If you're a lady , I'm sorry to tell you but you will not like this place. I'm honestly considering not going back here again. They need new bartenders...

On my girlfriend's birthday we went to celebrate her birthday at Blackbird. unfortunately we were not well received and they kicked us out. It was all because they were "ladies free drinks", my girlfriend told me to hold the glass for a moment to accommodate her shoe. At that moment a security comes to tell me that I can't drink (I never drink) I told him that I am not drinking for certain reasons that I have to take care of girlfriend and then they get violent Because could not pronounce English well and more with the music high. they called their other colleagues and they took me out, then my girlfriend got angry saying things why they took me out, I hadn't done anything and one of the security wanted to hit my girlfriend, then all the security came to put on a show….( it was not necessary) It is said that the security were on drugs… The next day we went to ask about the cameras and they denied me the filming. be careful and go out with your friends so that you do not have an...

Tuesday is ladies night, and it's LIT. There's ample dance adventures to be had in the back area. A bit snug, but not enough to want to leave.

The DJ spinned a colorful splash of newer records (think: Cardi B, Drake, Rhianna), old school jams (ODB, Snoop, Dj Jazzy) and a few, much appreciated curve balls were thrown in with some funk and electric mash ups that got the room fist pumping and hopping at one point. Moments were punctuated in dance circles that captured the essence of Miami night life.

There's no cover or charge of drinks for the ladies. Maybe it was a bit early to call at midnight, but just as a gentle reminder, please, do tip your tender at the bar you recieve your drink, as it seemed to be an uncharted concept upon glance at the tip jar.
