Ok so every once in a while, on rare occasions, my wife and I go to a place that the both us absolutely love and this joint here, my friends, is or of the very few. I've had this spot bookmarked for a while but never had an opportunity to swing by for whatever reasons. Finally my wife and I made time to go there for brunch and what a wonderful experience it was for us. Earlier that week I had met Daniel, owner or one of them, and we talked about the restaurant and my desire to visit. He was there when we got there and we received the best service possible, like ever. From the moment you walk in they are very welcoming and attentive with great smiles to greet their customers. They took care of us with the most special care and attention and we appreciated it very much so. Now let's talk food because that's really what we went there for.... We started with a guava and cheese pastry and an apple pie type pastry that were both to die for, and I will be repeating that expression many times in this review because the food here is truly, amazing. Now my wife and I are the sharing type so we like to try different things. For appetizer we went for the avocado tartine which is a must here and then she went for the guava and cheese pancakes while I got the chilaquiles. The avocado tartine is the BEST avocado toast I've tried anywhere. Crunchy toast topped with creamy avocado sprinkled with cottage cheese, charred corn and chipotle sauce, perfect acidity and texture, this was also to die for. The guava and cheese pancakes are popular for a reason, I mean who is the genius who came up with this idea, so good. Last but certainly not least the chilaquiles were my personal favorite. Perfectly cooked egg on top crunchy tortillas and the right amount of acidity from the lime made this so delicious. The mimosas were also really good and the perfect partnership for the this incredible food. went for the guava and cheese pancakes while I got the chilaquiles. Don't know the names but one of them was like a cake filled with strawberry cream, one was chocolate filled with passion fruit cream and the other one was filled dulce de leche, I think. All three deserts were so pretty and with the best presentation possible that it was almost too pretty to eat, but wifey and I are savages. Desserts and pastries are some of the things they're popular for in this place and now I know why. So much attention to detail but also to presentation and most importantly, flavor. Like i said at the beginning of this short review, lol, this is place is one of a kind. Can't wait to come back and try everything on that menu because there isn't one thing I don't want to try here. I want to thank Dani and staff for the exceptional service you gave us and you will be...

This place is obviously popular and you will see that as there is often a line in front of it. The front staff is super nice, especially this very good looking gentleman. They have a virtual line system that will send you a text when the table is ready. Brickell center is a block away so you can go shopping while waiting. Generally the wait is less than what they tell you when you check in so it’s always a good surprise.
The place is buzzing, service is generally blazing fast and I must admit it can be a bit overwhelming when you are inside with the noise of the kitchen, people chatting and waitresses flying everywhere, just a thing to know :-) the outside is very nicely setup with a south exposure which provide a sunny environment.
Food is great. I went there many times so I will highlight a few of my favorites.
the strawberry goat cheese croissant. I am French, so my standards here are pretty high. This thing is fantastic! I must say that one must raise an eyebrow when seeing this mix but they executed it perfectly. It’s not too sweet, not too goaty, the perfect mix and match. Well done!
the croque madame. What I especially love about it is that they use a torch to caramelize the cheese on top. Giving a similar look to a cream brûlée. Love it!
the lemon brew. I am not exactly sure how it’s done but it’s basically black sweet coffee with lemon. Again, sounds odd, but taste good! I had never seen that before.
The one negative point I must say is coffee. That’s definitely an area where they can improve. The coffee espresso generally have this burnt taste. I personally would love to have a good coffee in a place of that standing. I generally end up taking a cappuccino where the milk hide this burnt taste.

Read moreDuring our vacation, we came here for brunch after seeing a lot of great comments, but end up very disappointed about both the service and the food quality. (1) Steak and egg Scrambled eggs taste oily rather than creamy. It feels like they did not clean the pan after cooked fried eggs. Unbelievable. Steak is the only tasty part among all the dishes we tried but there is just a small layer between a bulky scoop of mash potatoes and oily-fried scrambled eggs. (2) Ham and cheese croissant The pastry was 100% off. Croissant supposed to be crispy and airy, and this one has nothing to do with it. I love Croissant but I cannot finish even half of it bc how disappointing it is. You shall take the “Bakery” out of the restaurant name, it is too misleading indeed. (3) Mexican Avocado Toast. Noted that the avocado is sour, I’d say it tastes more like guacamole. Some people may like it.
I doubt if the chef truly knows what he is doing. I feel so sorry for Miami ppl if a bistro like this is “highly recommended”.
On the top of the less than average foods, we have so much to complaint about the service we received. First I want to apologize, cuz the other staffs we met are quite courtesy and made us feel warm. But our waitress, a skinny young lady, might had a bad day and was being a bit grumpy. I don’t know her name as she did not either wear a badge or introduce herself toward us. She has a poker face when interacted with us and being fairly impatient when I tried to learn more about parking or the menu. Let’s to be honest, we all expect to pay overpriced food for brunch here to enjoy the great ambiance, which definitely requires well trained and professional staff, while this lady is the worst ever we’ve...
