Today, Saturday 9/20/14, at approx. noon, I visited the Dick's store located in Millbury, MA - The Shoppes At Blackstone Valley. My eleven year olds bike was stolen so we needed to replace it today for him to join his friends for a preplanned event. We brought the bicycle to the register to pay (over a $200 purchase), to be told we could not purchase it without it being checked out by a "certified tech". I asked to speak to the manager, and was told she was tied up in the Lodge with Customers. I proceeded to the lodge and again the manager told me I couldn't not buy the bike with out being checked out. I asked why she couldn't check out, she is a manager...? She told me she was not certified. She would not sell me the bike, REALLY??? A few suggestions to maybe prevent other good customer becoming hostile and FORMER CUSTOMERS!
I went next door to Target and bought my son a bike that was just as nice and save $100.00 Needless to say - I will no longer be shopping at Dicks! I accompanied this message with my score card number so you can look up and see how much money this former customer will NOT be spending at your store.
Most Sincerely, Amy Quadagno New Modell Sporting goods...
Read morePurchased a bicycle for my little man turning 3 got home put all the parts to the side noticed there was two bolts missing one for the front wheel and one for the training wheel. Had the party had family Over went back 5 days later to see if I could get the two bolts or exchange it plus buy over $150 in fishing gear. Got to the cashier and phoned her manager to see if I could return it. The manager asked if I had tried to assemble it which of course that’s how I realized I didn’t have the two bolts. And he said no. Knowing that it was a shut off answer she asked if I wanted to talk to him which of course I wanted to. In came Tucker, Tucker asked me the same questions he was already told The answers two in which all he said was two things they have a 24 hr exchange as they offer to build bikes. Which I was never offered to have the bike built and that I could purchase another bike at a discount. Would have had me leave the store so I told him to keep all the S* that I was also going to purchase and he was like I don’t appreciate swearing to which grow up your in customer service if you can’t handle that get out. I was going to leave as that was his two solutions in which I asked to talk to someone else. And he told me to call customer service, this is a manager having his customers call customer service And not even helping me call customer service. Now mind you he never even examined the box, the bike. I had mention to him the box had two holes in it in the bottom which the screws could have fallen out of he assured me it wasn’t the case… I’ve never delt with...
Read moreI have gone here since it opend and it is always a mess and I don't mean normal retail had a busy day mess I mean teenager bedroom mess. It is so bad that I have tripped over things that they throw in isles. There is no way this place is up to code as far as wheelchairs go. I know what your thinking and I will get to that just let me tell you about how they price things. Wait I can't tell you how they price things because they don't. I'd say about 75% of the store has no prices and the stuff that does is usually in the wrong spot. I would ask for help but finding an associate would be like finding Bigfoot. Now back to your question of why I go here if it is so bad. I go maybe twice a year to give them another chance because it is conveniently located. I'm telling you I will never go back again this time was the worst I have ever seen the store and I was the only customer in the entire store. Just don't bother you will regret it. Manager of this store if you read this you need to find a new job because you are very...
