It has been almost two years since my completion of the RYT training at the University of Utah with Denise Druce. Through the training, and since its completion, I have had some of the most wonderful and fulfilling experiences learning, doing, and teaching Yoga. The joy experienced from the hours of class devoted to Yoga and self-exploration will be with me forever. I fondly remember many moments with the girls in my class. I feel that during the time we spent together doing Yoga we all learned and grew together. The training itself is very full and well-rounded. As a student, you are provided with many valuable resources and great instruction. It is very true, however, that what effort and work you put in will determine what you get out. This is because of all there is to know. You may find that at times it can be overwhelming. However, in class you will receive digestible amounts of material to consume and encouragement in your process (a process of learning that doesn’t end once you finish the training). There are undeniable merits and benefits in doing a YTT on the campus of the University of Utah. The location, resources, and reputation of the university are all beneficial to you in your training. At the end of the program you will have the ability to be YogaFit certified, a member of Yoga Alliance, and have made many other important connections within the Yoga community. Furthermore, your practice, ability, and confidence will soar. I highly recommend the Yoga Teacher Training at the University of Utah and wish all future students much...
Read moreI can't say enough positive things about the Yoga Assets program and Denise Druce and her trainers (we had the opportunity to work with Amy D. and Whitney, who both brought unique skills, communication styles, and energy to the class), and had an amazing and intense 17 weeks of training. Denise immediately creates a cultures of safety and inclusion. She has a gift of seeing a person as an individual, and loving that person exactly the way he/she is. As a result, we immediately were able build connections and express our vulnerability. Our group was the first to conduct the majority of our classes via Zoom (due to COVID), and we were able to form deep connections, many of which will be life-long. I have no doubt this is because of the culture that Denise creates.
The program itself fully prepared us to graduate as confident teachers of yoga asanas, but that is just the tip of the iceberg. We studied so much, including our selves, philosophy, history, human anatomy... each section was so interesting and I would like to dive deeper into all of it. This program has been one of the most life-enhancing experiences of my life, and I am eager to share what I have learned to those who can benefit. I definitely plan to take the 300 hour YTT course with Yoga Assets...
Read moreThe Yoga Assets YTT program has empowered me to help myself, my family and many other people in this world. Especially in the last few months as we have entered very uncertain times. I have been able to provide mental, physical and spiritual support to people around me who are struggling with this new normal. My two daughters have seen how much yoga and mindfulness can do for you. That is something that I will be forever grateful for... the gift of being able to teach my children how to take care of themselves mentally and spiritually. They love yoga because they have seen what Yoga Assets helped me to achieve. I loved the study of Sanskrit, anatomy, asanas and the connection between me and my omi’s!
I have made lifelong friends and discovered new mentors. I can listen to my body and know what it needs. I can safely practice and know what is best for my most. I realize that if I don’t like my story I can change it. I am full of gratitude. YTT supported me through one of the most difficult times in my life and now I am to support others with the tools I have. I have never known myself so well. I have never been more open to what the universe is saying to me. And I have never been more sure about what...
