What an experience! âWas trying an apparel just a few minutes ago at the Milpitas Great Mall store. Was holding a sweatshirt that I tried on, on one hand and was looking for another one that was less wrinkled. I grabbed 2 more that I inadvertently held together with the one that I was already holding, but put them back because the one that I was holding was less ruffled. There was this African American lady who rudely cut in front of me and grabbed the item that I put back in the rack. She said that I couldnât put it back bec that was the one that I tried on (without explaining what she was doing). I asked why and she said that âit has to be sanitized bec it was the one that you tried onâ. I was positive that what I was holding was the one I tried on but she said âdonât argue with meâ. Turned out that she was the manager. Asked for her name but she said that âI donât have to give you my nameâ. I have no problem with store policies with regard to âsanitationâ especially in the advent of covid as long as itâs done and explained properly. The manager was just plain rude. The question is, was I singled out bec I was Asian? I believe so. Makes me wonder if this mgr has a way of determining which items were touched by the customers and and if so, does she sanitize them all?âŚWhy? And then told us they didn't carry that size in the fit and color we wanted. Of course we found that exact fit, color, and size combination shortly after. I love their fleece hoodies in particular, which are comfortable enough to wear during cold nights, and nice looking enough to wear outside the house.
