I have benefited from massage therapy for over 5 years at the original Sunnyvale location of Perfect Healing Massage, and I was happy to try their new Milpitas location recently. The therapists at Milpitas are some of the best from the Sunnyvale location, and I give them the strongest possible recommendation. They are friendly, professional, and versatile - top notch for deep tissue, sports, and soothing / calming massage. The rooms are neat and clean, with high-quality tables and lovely music.
I get massage therapy primarily for therapeutic reasons, but also because it helps me to feel centered and calm, and restores my energy. I've tried about a half dozen places around the bay area, and Perfect Healing is the best of them, both in terms of the therapists' skill level and also in terms of value.
I have chronic pain issues in my neck, shoulders, and forearms due to past computer use with bad habits and poor ergonomics. The therapists here deal with these kinds of problems frequently, and have expert knowledge of how to treat them.
They are well-trained professionals offering first-rate, legitimate massage therapy. I always leave feeling calm and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI will say the massage itself was good, she used her thumbs to apply a good amount of pressure and it felt very comfortable. The reason for my less than stellar score is the attitude. When the massage started I told her no neck, a few minute into the massage and she went for the neck which I find uncomfortable. Later when I was face up she asked if face massage was ok and for the first time in a massage I said no. She had to ask another time because she was baffled that I would say no so she kind of shut down for a quick second and looked at the clock not knowing what to do when I messed up the rhythm. There was no reason for her to act like that, she could have just massaged my arms for the rest and I would've been OK with it but her attitude made me enjoy the massage less. I have a suspicion that when she left to get a towel she stayed out longer than necessary (maybe even talked to her coworkers about it lol) It was mostly the attitude that dropped my mood but 4 stars seemed too good for how I felt so I had...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe massage overall was a good massage. Not the best Iāve ever had, but good. However, the woman at the front desk spoke to the massage therapist through the door during my massage and they had a conversation through the door. Throughout my massage the massage therapistās phone was vibrating and she left to return a phone call in the middle of it. The massage still ended at the same time even though she left the room for several minutes. I decided I was only going to leave a 15% tip because of these things. And the woman at the front desk was persistent that I should leave $20. I said the amount of the tip is my decision. She kept telling me over and over to write $20 down on my receipt. I said no and I left. It was absurd. They also charge $2 if you pay with a card and their prices on their website do not match the prices...
