Dissatisfaction is the only word that comes to mind. Visited this place on yiesday 1/14/25. Called the day before to make sure they were open for lunch. Only to arrive at 11:30 as there was no sushi chef which was the reason we went. Waited an hour and like 15 minutes for him to casually come walking in the door to sloppily throw our food together. We ordered the 10 zen with eel on the side, vegetables spring rolls, shrimp tempura app that came out to the table with no shrimp by the way. Has to ask for it, because we paid for it. Spider which he put the eel inside of and salmon shashimi. The owner was just sitting at the bar like everything was fine and dandy. Never apologized, never offered up any customer service nothing. I felt bad for the host because everything was on her. Then the next day I ordered the vegetable spring rolls again only to get homw and find shrimp on my spring rolls which I’m allergic too. I called and the lady was like I’m so sorry i tell the manager and next time you come in they will be on us but he never called me back. I think it’s odd that you can literally tell me my order at pick up but not verify what’s coming out of the kitchen. I’ll NE RR BE BACK NOR WILL I RECOMMEND THIS DISGUSTING SERVICE TO ANYONE. ITS PATHETIC.

Yikes. I’ve been here before, in-person, and the food was different. This time I ordered takeout on a Monday and everything tasted weird. The papaya salad is old, soggy, and bland compared to how it tastes fresh. The pad thai was okay, but topped with an old and yucky slice of lime that seems microwaved. It left a strong bitter taste all over my food. The tom yum soup is gross and tastes like it was made from paste— none of the delicate flavors that are supposed to be there. Of course, I don’t know how they made it, but none of this food is worth the $16-18 price point, and that’s for the versions without expensive meat. All the food is extremely full of MSG, which I’m sensitive to but only notice when there’s a lot of it. Unfortunately, I won’t be back. The staff have always been super nice, so that’s a shame.

Spark notes: Appetizers 2/5 , Entrees 2/5 , Sushi 5/5 , overall cost for food and experience 2/5. When you see awards on the wall for best restaurant, best sushi, best new restaurant ect but the awards are 10+ years old… that might be telling you something. First we ordered the Shishito Peppers and they were great. Then the fried calamari…that was cold, partially frozen and most of the batter was coming off; definitely not a good. The drunken noodles had cold green beans and you could tell everything was just taken out of the freezer with everything be slightly rubbery. GOOD NEWS the sushi was good! They did an excellent job. We went on a Friday night around 9:30 pm and there was 2 other table of 2. So not super busy.

Bartenders let a 2 year old child run around alone and even get behind the bar several times after 10:00pm. Meanwhile, serving his mom and friends shots at a table on the other side of the room. I know it was a slow night, but come on! If someone is too intoxicated to care for a small child, why continue to serve the table shots? Why not ask them.to leave and take the baby? Both bartenders left the bar at 1 point and the little boy was behind the bar by HIMSELF. My boyfriend retrieved the little boy right before he knocked over a bunch of stacked glasses (yes, they were glass). That's not to mention all the sharp objects and dangerous chemicals he could have got into if we had not intervened. At the time we didn't know who's child it was so I called out "who's baby is this?" And a woman dressed as a sexy ninja stumbled over acring surprised. Mind you we didnt even realize this was the mom until she came over because no one of the 5/6 women at the table acted concerned about this baby and no employee took him back over there or attempted to correct the problem. The bartenders did NOT ask the mom to leave or watch her baby. They kept sending out trays of shots. The server continued to overserve the table while the baby went behind the bar 2 more times. He also wandered through the dance floor and up the stairs to the mezzanine with no supervision and tried to leave the restaurant. I stopped him. I am disappointed at the stagg for over serving his mom and her friends and allowing this child to run unsupervised through a bar until almost 11pm. He could have been hurt or taken and all 3 of the staff members looked the other way....

I went to origami sushi on a date prior to a show on 09/24/25 at about 730. The restaurant was empty and in disarray as though the rush had just ended. It was difficult being sat and the bartender seemed a bit preoccupied. I ordered two rolls and appetizer and my partner ordered a roll. Only the appetizer and her food came. I sat waiting while the waiter assured me that my order would arrive shortly. About thirty minutes passed and still no food. Within this time the waiter assured me I could get a water refill that never came. Eventually the waiter came with my food to go (which I had never asked for) he said "do you even want it?" To which I replied no and that I would like the check and to leave. Leaving was the most pressing matter it took an additional ten minutes to get the check. To do so I had to chase this man across the restaurant and demand it. I would never return here and plan to protest outside until it closes. This was honestly the worst dining experience I've ever had. I ALWAYS tip. This is the first time in my life I've not tipped while having sat down in a restaurant. Worst dining experience I have ever had in my life. The awards on the wall should show you how awful they they can be because that is the only award winning experience origami sushi is capable of "worst dining...
