On February 5, I made an appointment to see the studio apartment listed on the webpage and then confirmed by telephone conversation to be available. The appointment was set for 3PM and I was assured that there are several studios available. When I arrived at the entrance to the leasing office the door was locked so I pressed button on intercom to get attention.
The voice on intercom answered "may I help you ?" Yes - I stated - I have appointment to see apartment' "See apartment ???" asked the very surprised woman on the other side of the intercom. Yes apartment - I answered - this is the leasing office isn't it ? Once the door was open and I was let in, another women sitting in another room joined the conversation by stating "Oh yes I spoke with him" presumably referring to me. Finally I sat with the very surprised woman in her office and I was asked what kind of apartment I am looking for.
I stated that I am looking for studio and I was assured during earlier phone conversation that there are studios available.
We don't rent studios now - I was informed. So why wasn't I told that when I called 3 hours earlier ? I asked.
The still surprised woman didn't answer my question and repeated that "we don't rent studios now, we have them but we don't rent them. "
I lost 2 hours from work plus the cost of gasoline driving considerable distance just to experience total...
Read moreI wouldn't recommend anyone try to rent here. It's been a month since my application was turned in. I still have yet to receive my deposit back. I feel like a scam is going on here. It took 22 days for my application to even be denied. I was told multiple times they hadn't been able to get in contact with my employer to verify my income. My employer eventually emailed me a copy of the form he filled out, as he too was tired of dealing with the back and forth. When I had reached out again about my application I had been told again they still hadn't been able to contact my employer. How was my employer able to send me a copy of their form he filled out if they hadn't been in contact? I had to give an ultimatum too. I told Romayne if my application couldn't be approved or denied within 2 days I need a refund. Romayne responded and emailed me within 2 minutes with an answer. I was told I had to pay my deposit with a cashier's check. When I requested a refund I was told I had to wait for a check. Which took a week for them to prepare for some reason. I came to the corporate office to pick it up and they can't seem to find it. This whole situation seems very fishy. I still have yet to receive my...
Read moreA positive encounter was what I desired when I moved here, but once my lease ends, I plan to move as soon as possible. At first, I believed that we could control the temperature in our apartment based on my previous rental experiences, but they set it to 70 degrees and suggested we should purchas space heaters if we feel cold. Despite being reassured of unrestricted access to the rooftop/club room before moving in, I soon discovered that it actually closes at 10 pm. & Just yesterday, a letter was sent to all residents notifying us about the availability change and now a $150 deposit is required for reservation. The parking garage, which we have eagerly awaited each month, continues to be delayed and remains out of reach. The manager, Romayne, consistently displays an unpleasant attitude as if she has little interest in working here. If your goal was not to assist people with their inquiries, why did you choose this job? The apartment appliances are poorly made and if they break, we are charged for their repairs. The hallways carry a unpleasant odor of drugs. Despite the nice location, I genuinely...
