Nothing but problems since day one. I have been a member of other Anytime franchises and apparently went into this contract with expectations matching my past experiences and what a let down! No tour was even offered after I signed the paperwork. Not a word was said to me about the fitness classes offered. If you are a morning workout person it is luck of the draw whether or not you will be able to get into a shower. When machines break they aren't repaired - just stuck with a note for months on end (literally, months) or in the case of dumbbells just left so when you pick it up you feel one end shift and then click like it caught the last latch before falling off. . They claim the facilities are cleaned twice a day -- but it does not appear so when you look at the sides of the treadmills caked in black dust and garbage in the showers. I submitted all my paperwork for the insurance reimbursement program the day I signed up -- two months later my insurance company has not received anything from them.
But they will tell you it is all okay because they are moving the gym soon! -- another thing that was already in the works but I was not made aware of when I signed up, even though I made it clear that I had selected this gym due to it being the closes to my new job. Not that it is in a good location. In the only two months I have been working out here I have seen the police have to intervene in two instances at the gas station less than two blocks away (and I'm an early morning gym goer not 2am when you might expect this but around 5:30-6am) and have seen a vehicle parked on the street near the gym with a window busted out along with overhearing a few other club members discuss the lack of safety in the area.
My main point --- do better research and avoid this place...it gives the Anytime Fitness franchise a bad name.
On the bright side...Bloomington, Savage, Forest Lake, & Chisago City all have amazing Anytime...
Read moreI have been very disappointed in this gym the past few months and don't want others to get stuck in the same situation I did.
The gym is very large, and one of the nicer Anytime's I've been to in terms of cleanliness and variety. They also have extremely talented trainers. However, parking is HORRIBLE. I often find myself going to a different Anytime because of the parking situation. In addition, it is staffed very odd hours. Often, no one is there during the "staffed" hours anyway. If there is someone there, they seem uninterested in helping and I always felt like I was burdening them.
The reason for 2/5 stars is the customer service. I was overcharged for 3 personal training sessions, and instead of refunding my money and making it right, they refused to refund me. The woman who billed me, who is also one of the owners, kept referring to an "agreement" that I never signed or have even heard about. In addition, she told me it was my fault I was overcharged because I didn't time my decision to end personal training in time before the money was taken out of my account. I haven't had anyone be as rude to me as this woman was. She completely insulted me the entire phone call and was so disrespectful. She should honestly be ashamed at how horribly she talked to a customer. Any other company would have seen I was overcharged and gladly refunded me because that's what customer service is all about. Because of how horribly she treated me, and her refusal to refund my money, I stopped my membership and have since gone with a different gym. I know other people who have gone through billing issues with this gym and this particular woman and I'll be staying far away from her and this gym.
I would NOT recommend this gym. Drive a little extra out of your way and find an Anytime that values you as a customer and understands that you are central to their business. This gym needs to seriously revamp their...
Read moreMy worst gym experience: only reason I even chose this gym was cause it was a close option. In the beginning of this month I went in with an appointment to see if the gym is right fit. I asked multiple times if there were any day pass but the manager told me they don’t have that. Then he started telling me how great their gym was but I don’t see any difference from Planet fitness except their single bathroom w/showers.After that the manager started telling me the price and how it was a weekly payment plan. The average (no commitment plan) was $17 a week. Then he tried to sell me weekly classes, He told me it was $65 a week. Then when I was ready to walk out because in no way i’m going to pay over $300 a month for a gym that’s literally the same as Planet fitness. He told me close the door so no one hears the “great deal he’s about to give me” He told me it would only be $35 for the whole month and I agreed on that. Once I seen the invoice it said something completely different the $35 was also weekly payments totaling to over $200 a month(including the no commitment plan). I went to the manager right away to get my refund and leave the gym immediately, it became a hassle for me to get my membership cancelled and get my refund same day within 30 minutes of me signing up. Manager finally agreed for my cancellation and refund although he said he would charge me $15 for a stupid day pass, which they told me they didn’t have at the beginning. When they did cancel it, I didn’t get my refund until I had to contact them multiple times over the span of 2 weeks. Then they give me my refund which was short a couple dollars. I didn’t bother contacting them anymore because In the emails I sent prior I told them How much I was owed but they completely ignored it.
To sum it up: I got scammed! and Would recommend y’all to make sure what type of gym...
