The whole place gets a higher than highly recommended from me. It started with me being too tired to cook then me looking at the general direction of this restaurant. Emilio was arranging the patio furniture and dropped everything to become the siren of my stomach, the muse to my munchies. Kind, personable, and very helpful he walked me through the front door raving about all the options of the yum they offered. Living in the Midwest feels like gluten & dairy rule every restaurant and ultimately every food choice. Not this place! Super tasty offerings with tons TONS of flavor. I had the spicy soup and the yellow coconut curry with rice noods, shrimp, and tons of veggies, and even went with the chicken dumplings add-on. Not being native to these parts I definitely went with some spicy sauces, Gochujang and a habanero. First off the soup was super umami rich miso and held a generous punch of ginger…but not spicy at all really. The chicken dumplings in that soup were succulent and addicting. I could easily eat a gallon of this stuff. The noodles were DELICIOUS!!! the portion was perfect (especially cause I saved some for lunch the next day). The flavor took me back to a favorite Thai spot of mine in Seattle IYKYK. Perfectly salted and spiced the vegetables were allowed to shine and not be overpowered. The shrimp were just a tad saltier than the rest (a welcomed surprise) and seasoned just right. Each bite was a journey, and I put a lil pep in the step with a quick hit of the spicy sauces! Gochujang was super rich of fermented red pepper but prob a medium at best in terms of hot. The habanero was perfect! A decent flavor and a respectable burn made it my favorite. Y’all go here and check this...

Restaurant Review – Torta & Sope Experience
I visited with the hope of getting an authentic torta, but what I received felt more like a steak sandwich. While the bread was fresh and the toppings plentiful, it lacked that distinctive “torta” character I was expecting in flavor and texture. But still ok if you are looking for a steak sandwich.
The standout of the meal was the sope!. It had a solid, well fried base 👌 that held up perfectly with the layering of beans, meat, lettuce, pickled onions, radish, and fresh cilantro. Each bite was balanced and satisfying — a great execution overall.
The sauces were flavorful, but the hot sauce could use a touch more salt to deepen the profile and bring out more complexity.
For drinks, I tried the horchata, which was decent but not remarkable. I would have preferred a creamier texture with a stronger cinnamon presence to really make it memorable.
Overall rating: 7/10 The sope made the visit worthwhile, but the torta and horchata left room for...
Read moreI had four tacos (chicken tinga gringo style, veggie, carnitas classic, and asada classic), chips and salsa, and modelo negra.
The food is excellent. Especially the salsa verde is particularly a stand out. Guacamole is solid for Minnesota, a bit creamy compared to the Southwest. Molcajete style salsa is very mild but delicious. All the meats and seasonings tasted authentic, high quality, and were delicious.
They have a touch screen ordering system, but the owner came out and explained their menu to me. Atmosphere wise it feels clean, spacious, and corporate-esque. A little more art would be nice.
While there is no acoustic treatment, the ceilings are high enough that it’s not intolerably loud and reverberant. There is tasteful Mexican music playing at a pleasant volume.
A good lunch spot or casual counter order with friends. Prices are reasonable.
Overall, I like the place and will...
