Please read this review if you are shopping for a wedding dress and note that my review is not part of a paid promotion and is entirely written from my incredible experience and desire to let every person shopping for their dress that this business is the perfect place to go!
Overall Experience: I cannot emphasize this enough, the experience I had at Vow'd Minneapolis with Kaitlyn as my stylist was far above and beyond anything I could have ever hoped for. If you're into watching "Say Yes to the Dress", this store will give you a comparable experience to the brides on the show; however, in my opinion, the genuine interest, comfortable atmosphere, and shared joy shown by the stylists far exceeded the experiences I've seen depicted on "Say Yes to the Dress".
We are having our long awaited wedding reception on July 31st, and went dress shopping last week. While the dresses at Vow'd are most (or all) under $2,000, my budget was around 400 or less. I thought I wouldn't have many options, and assumed I would be buying a dress off the rack given the rapidly approaching date of our special day. Instead, I was given a wide array of gorgeous bridal gown options that all fit what I was interested in seeing myself in. The very first dress I tried on, I chose! If you have a budget similar to mine, take a look at the "Last Chance" dresses, they are stunning, amazing quality, and very affordable due to being marked down from original pricing. My dress and Veil combined were under $400, and arrived at my doorstep 5 days later!
Stylist Review: My stylist was Kaitlyn, and I cannot say this enough, she is the absolute perfect person to make this special experience everything you had ever hoped for. Kaitlyn instantly put me at ease, was so incredibly easy to talk to, made sure to keep the experience about what I wanted and felt beautiful in, picked the perfect veil to give me the full picture, and even gave me the option of mimicking a walk down the aisle holding a bouquet to make my dress choice that much easier to feel confident in. Perhaps the most valuable part of the experience I had with Kaitlyn at Vow'd, was the genuine empathy and understanding of my mixed feelings of absolute joy and sadness, as my mother passed away a few years ago and would have loved to be there. When I choked up in the dress that I KNEW was the one, Kaitlyn teared up along with the family I brought with me, and it was incredibly meaningful to know and feel that who was involved with me in this experience was truly sharing in my experience. I was treated with as much enthusiasm and care as someone with a higher budget, I was treated no differently and I truly felt special the entire time of my appointment! It was a true bridal shopping experience through and through, complete with a picture of me holding a sign saying, "Found It!" while confetti was thrown! Thank you, Kaitlyn, for helping create a precious memory for me and my family that we will forever hold dearly. (If any future employer is ever thinking of hiring Kaitlyn as a bridal stylist, please read this: you truly couldn't do any better!)
Wedding Dress Review: Excellent quality, hit every single aspect of the dress I had always visualized, extremely comfortable and not too heavy at all! Dress is clearly made with quality material and the fitting was perfect with very little altering needed to be done.
I highly recommend Vow'd now to any of my friends or family who are shopping for their perfect dress, and rave about this business and my experience to all...
Read moreI said yes to the dress yesterday at Vow’d and had a great experience. They offer free champagne or non-alcoholic beverages to the bride and her “I do” crew - who doesn’t love free drinks? The store itself is beautiful with a lot of great selections and a variety of styles. I had Ms. Leigha as my stylist and felt she went above and beyond. Though my appt should have been only 90 minutes, it did go longer than that due to indecisiveness and she was so patient with me. She gave her opinions which was very appreciated (unlike other dress shops I went to where stylists don’t get involved) - I’d rather hear I look unflattering in a dress than be told I look beautiful for the sake of a sale. She never attempted to push outside of my budget and she also came up with some great ideas to help bring more of the “blush” color out in the dress. Other staff members were very friendly and helpful. Everyone there made an effort to create a fun and stress-free experience for myself and my loved ones. I don’t plan on buying another wedding dress and hope to never have to but if I did, I would definitely come back. I will also be recommending this location to friends/family that get married in the future. Thank you staff of Vow’d and Ms. Leigha for a wonderful experience and for helping make my...
Read moreThe dress shopping experience was great until….. Bad business practices. Wonder how often this occurs. My daughter tentatively picked a dress but was told it would not be available to order until November 21st. A call would be placed to her on November 21st to confirm if she wanted to place the order. There would be zero dollars charged to the card until the dress would be available on November 21st. This was the information told to us very clearly and multiple times on July 19. Today, September 5 she called the store and was told the dress shipped and credit card was charged. What! Explain to us what happened to November 21. I have called corporate customer service and placed a complaint. It was confirmed this shouldn’t have happened and the charge should not have gone through. Well it did. We have been told once the dress is returned it will be fully refunded. Curious how long this will take. Very disappointed in Vow’d. Feel totally duped. We were also told a confirmation email should have been sent but they see this didn’t happen either. Hope this doesn’t happen to other brides to be. UPDATE. The dress arrived today 9/7. Remember the dress we did not order. Box is so damaged. Confetti falling out of the...
